Guys? I know I'm really amazing, very cool, and all around unbelievable. I'm so many things, it's hard to list them all. But one thing I'm not?

A deity. Yes, I am in fact, 100%, absolutely and truly not a goddess. And no, I'm not a demi-goddess either. Not a single trace of divinity in me. I won't name names, but this has happened about three or four times now. Just thought I'd mention it in case there's anyone else out there with this assumption.

... Y'know what? It's a new month, and that means we're getting newbies. Maybe now's a good time for everyone to sweep any other misunderstandings under the rug. So, if there's anything you wanna clear up about yourself, your world, your species, whatever, go for it.

To start with? No cool powers and no immortality. But, just as importantly, not only is my family all about pride in our heritage - so, that probably would have popped up in the family tree - my mom and dad were absolutely nuts about each other.

Or, to put it another way, no one else would have ever put up with them.

A-hem. No, no divinity here... in fact, in my world? Zeus HATES my family. Not in the "I want to kill you and have revenge" way - usually - more in the "I never want to see you nor do I ever want to acknowledge you exist" kind of way.

I have a sixth sense - all mages from my world do, in fact. I can sense a person's life energy - it picks up on humans, demons, most anything that can think for itself, though it doesn't recognize animals or dead things. It can also tell me whether someone has magic and how powerful they are - the stronger someone is, the easier it is to Sense them. So I can generally tell someone's coming, even if I don't see or hear them.

[Probably better not to let people know his Sense can be overwhelmed. That doesn't need to be public information.]

...also, I'm a healer, so if I tell you to do something, it's generally for your own good.

I'm Asch, and I'm a kind of being that's known in my world as blades. The short version is that my entire body is composed of solidified magic except for this -

I am a Nobody, the remnant of a person who lost his metaphysical heart, but had too strong of a will to simply die, despite my body having faded into darkness. I look much like I did as a human, but I am not, and my biology differs from a human in some significant ways. Primarily, though it has yet to happen, do not be alarmed if you find me unconscious and cold to the touch, my body is made partially of ice magic and, as a result, has a lower temperature than most. For the same reason, I am immune to cold, but particularly susceptible to heat. As such, I would...greatly appreciate it if sources of flame were kept well away from me.

And, as it has been asked, yes, I do travel through ominous looking portals of darkness.
