[ della has a slightly serious look on her face... but for those who know her, there's definite playfulness in her eyes. ]

This is one of those "I can't believe I have to say this" kind of deals, so buckle up, folks.

Guys? I know I'm really amazing, very cool, and all around unbelievable. I'm so many things, it's hard to list them all. But one thing I'm not?

A deity. Yes, I am in fact, 100%, absolutely and truly not a goddess. And no, I'm not a demi-goddess either. Not a single trace of divinity in me. I won't name names, but this has happened about three or four times now. Just thought I'd mention it in case there's anyone else out there with this assumption.

... Y'know what? It's a new month, and that means we're getting newbies. Maybe now's a good time for everyone to sweep any other misunderstandings under the rug. So, if there's anything you wanna clear up about yourself, your world, your species, whatever, go for it.

"Gyro is NOT my friend." Della immediately shot that down. No sir. Nuh-uh. Not in this lifetime. "He works for my uncle and that's it."

[washibot]

"Mad scientist then? Possibly one who doesn't quite understand the dangers of spitting in the gods' eyes?"

She tilts her head at that.

[sos_pilot]

"Yes, there you go." That was a much better description. "I don't know why my uncle keeps him around... maybe Gyro works for less than un-mad scientists."

[washibot]

Raptor tilts her head with a suspicious look.

"Your uncle wouldn't be planning galactic domination, would he by chance? Those kinds generally like to keep a few mad scientists on hand."

"Either that or he is incredibly cheap and willing to put up with nonsense just so he doesn't have to pay the guy."

[sos_pilot]

"Again, it's the second thing." Della says, with an amused snort at the mere idea of Scrooge planning world domination. "My uncle's the richest duck in the world... and the cheapest. He's the kind of guy who will use the same tea bag for a month."

[washibot]

"Honestly after about 10 days, you really aren't getting anything out of it. Unless you are just trying to fool yourself. At least, you won't get enough to fool a commanding officer who won't put a budget for things like that on the ship request."

She shakes her head and sounds far too familiar with trying to get something from nothing.

"He's not related to any dragons, is he?"

[sos_pilot]

"No. Again, we're not related to anything supernatural or mythological... we just happen to run into those kinds of things all the time."

[washibot]

"Supernatural? Mythological?"

At that she imagines Sho as some mythical figure and promptly tries, and fails to contain laughing. First it comes out as a snort, then she just looses it laughing.

"Dragons.... Mythological!? The capta..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

[sos_pilot]

... That sure was a reaction. "... You okay over there?"

[washibot]

"I.... Captain...."

She gasps for air and starts giggling again, "The captain of my ship was a dragon. To think of him as mythic or magical..."

She falls over laughing at that

[sos_pilot]

"... Captain of a space ship, of a sailing ship, or a plane?" Because to her, those were very important differences.

[washibot]

"Space ship. The Orion II. Technically the Orion as well, but... We lost her."

She sighs and looks down at that one, most of the myrth lost from her.

[sos_pilot]

Daaaah. No one's ever a pilot of a plane. Della did her best to hide her disappointment. "Uh... sorry to hear about it. Bet it was cool."
