[Romeo's face grins through the screens. It's been a pretty scary few days and he's been trying to keep his spirits up as much as he can and to help everyone else do the same. It had been pretty tricky though!

But then there had been a message on the screens and Romeo had gone to investigate and found the pumpkins, he knew what they were because he had asked when they had first found them on the platform! But he hadn't known you could make faces out of them!]

Does anyone's world have the tradition about putting faces in pumpkins? I don't think my world did! I didn't know what a pumpkin was before so I guess we didn't! How do you do it?

Also what can you make with pumpkins? They are vegetables right so we could make soup or mash it? Does it taste good mashed? Or we could fry it and eat it with rice or noodles. I'm not sure it would go well with fish but there's still a lot of fish in the store rooms.

I know it's not Blue teams time to cook but tasty food always makes me feel better so if anyone wants to come and have some food I am going to try and make something with a pumpkin and make a face with one as well!

[ Romeo, so cute.. That smile is at the very least definitely helping Madoka to feel a bit better, even though she's still kind of shaken up with everything that happened. But when he's grinning that widely, she can manage a small smile as well. ]

Do you want me to help you with pumpkin carving..? I've done it before at school for Halloween. [ And Romeo is nice, so she sure wouldn't mind spending some time with him while helping him out. ]

What's Halloween? Is it something you learned in school? [It definitely wasn't a lesson in the school in the heavens! But he is glad that he seems to have found an expert!]

Help would be good! I don't really understand how to make it into faces at all!

[ Apparently they don't celebrate that in heaven, huh? She guesses that kind of makes sense, since Halloween is associated more with scary things.. ]

We just did some Halloween activities at school around that time, so I learned how to do it safely. The pumpkins are supposed to be decorations for the holiday!

Safely? Is it dangerous if you do it wrong? [He best learn from Madoka then, if she knew how to do it safely!]

Yes.. You need to use something sharp to cut the pumpkins, so you can get hurt if you have an accident.

[ She believes they can do it though! Madoka is extremely careful with.. well, pretty much everything, and Romeo totally seems like the type who can be careful as well in her opinion. ]

But it's still fun to do! You can give the pumpkin any kind of face you want.

[He grins, giving pumpkins faces sounded really fun!] Do you want to come and make some pumpkin faces then Madoka?

Faces in pumpkins? Liek you mean for Halloween? You can do lots of stuff with it for food, but I'm not exactly good at cooking. [ Unless you mean instant noodles ]

The message on the screen said if we took a pumpkin with a face in it to the shop we would get a bag of sweets sir! [Plus it sounded fun and apparently kept away bad spirits which was a good thing! Because things were really scary at the moment!]

Huh. Just like Halloween then. You didn't have that on your world? And I'm Kaito - there's no need to sir me!

I don't think so! And they didn't have it in Japan... Or maybe I just never saw it. There's lots of things I don't know about yet. Is Halloween fun? [If it involved making things and sweets it already sounded very fun!]

You're from Japan too? Huh. That's odd - when are you from? Coz they definitely celebrate Halloween now! And yeah, it's pretty cool I guess? All the shops get decked out in orange and black and people wear costumes to the Halloween parties. And there's candy.

Aw kid, none of that. You can't be much younger than me, Romeo-kun!

Sort of. I was heaven and we can go to earth where humans live to help them! We go to Japan mostly because that's easiest to get to and heaven is a lot like Japan except we don't got cars or trains or aeroplanes or anything like that! I only been there... Well it was Winter and then Christmas and then a new year and then it got warmer and then I came here. I came from another world when I was alive though and a place called Italy. I don't remember much though.

[He grins.] I don't think it was a whole year yet so it might have been a festival I didn't see yet. There were lots of festivals in Japan!

I've only heard about carving them. I suppose we could give this a try, and I do have a few pumpkin recipes on hand.

We could try one or two out. And I do happen to have one for pumpkin soup.

You do? That's great sir! I don't think I ever had pumpkin before so I don't even really know what it tastes like! The best way to try new food is to try lots of recipes with it though and then we can make tasty food for people to cheer them up!

[He wants to try this cream cheese pumpkin bread recipe out too. And at hearing what Romeo says, Ignis turns his head away from the camera. Really between Romeo and Madoka he just can't because they never fail to cheer him up.]

Pumpkin goes with a lot of things, but it depends on how it's cooked.

I think there are parts of Eselia that do that, like Kalos and Ōre, but I can't say I've ever done it myself. Sounds interesting, though.

It does sound really interesting, miss Eva! I never heard of it before! I once helped at a festival where everyone made dolls and sent them floating down a river to take all the bad luck away! It went all wrong because of bad cultists but I think it was the same idea, you make the bad things go away or scare them off!

That sounds like urabon'e, though we send lantern-lights with talisman up into the sky at dusk. Then, we light bonfires and ring bells at the shrines to drive away the evil and bring in the good.

That sounds fun as well! Did you have shrines where you lived? I like festivals at shrines, they are always fun and interesting and there's always tasty food!

I do. The Americans seem to have perfected that particular art, but I certainly know of it.

You'll cut yourself and if I have to heal you, you won't particularly like it.

[He opens his mouth to argue that he really won't cut himself, but then Joss admits that he wants to carve one too and so he just smiles.]
