[Romeo's face grins through the screens. It's been a pretty scary few days and he's been trying to keep his spirits up as much as he can and to help everyone else do the same. It had been pretty tricky though!

But then there had been a message on the screens and Romeo had gone to investigate and found the pumpkins, he knew what they were because he had asked when they had first found them on the platform! But he hadn't known you could make faces out of them!]

Does anyone's world have the tradition about putting faces in pumpkins? I don't think my world did! I didn't know what a pumpkin was before so I guess we didn't! How do you do it?

Also what can you make with pumpkins? They are vegetables right so we could make soup or mash it? Does it taste good mashed? Or we could fry it and eat it with rice or noodles. I'm not sure it would go well with fish but there's still a lot of fish in the store rooms.

I know it's not Blue teams time to cook but tasty food always makes me feel better so if anyone wants to come and have some food I am going to try and make something with a pumpkin and make a face with one as well!

True, but some fruit and veg taste bad, right? And we don't even know if this is ripe?

They do? I never found any that taste bad? But... If it is not ripe will it make us sick?

[He's not sure and there isn't a library here for them to look up the information!]

Eh, I've had a few I prefer cooked...

[ He says thoughtfully, and eyes the bowl of seeds and flesh ]

Dunno. It might, I guess. Maybe we could ask someone?

We could! That's a good idea! Do you know anyone who knows lots about fruit. Or vegetables. [Whatever a pumpkin is!]

Hm. Well we could ask Tony-san? He seems to like cooking. Or maybe Iden'no-san? Who else likes cooking, do you know?

I didn't know mister Tony liked cooking! Who is Iden'no-san? I haven't met her yet I don't think? [He's met a lot of people, but no one by that name that he remembers.]

He cooked for me all last... 'month'.

[ He grins ]

Mmm... she's the lady with the pokemon? Does the welcome pack stuff.

He did? That was really kind of him! [He thought for a moment.] Yes I think I spoke to her when the inspectors were here! On the information screens.

She's very cool. [ He grins ] I reckon she'd know how to cook too.

I bet she does! How comes you don't know? I could teach you if you want! I didn't really know how to cook before but I got taught and I practised lots so now I can make lots of yummy food!

[It's an important skill and also really fun. Romeo is sure Kaito will be good at it, he seems really clever and knows lots of things already!]

Eh, it's not that I don't know any... more like... I've not had any reason to learn. I can make instant noodles easily enough! But there's a difference between cooking because you like it and just... making do.

[ He grins at Romeo ] But if you wanna hold lessons, sure, I'll come along.

You think I could teach lots of people? I think that would be really fun! [He had taught Elfnein Italian after all so maybe he would make a good teacher!

And he does think knowing how to cook is very important.]

I don't see why not.

[ He grins at him ]

We all get a bit bored, right? Why don't you offer and see if anyone is keen?

I will! That's a really good idea! [It will be fun to make yummy food with lots of people and teach everyone a new skill!]

[ He grins and steps back ]

In the meantime... what should we carve on our pumpkin here? I suppose if we draw the design on first so we known where we're going?

It's got to be something really scary right? [He thinks for a moment.] What's the scariest face you can do?

[He starts looking for something to draw with, because that's a smart idea!]

[ He eyes the pumpkin thoughtfully ]

Well, we should give it fangs, obviously. Maybe an evil smile. Small eyes....?

Big fangs and a really evil smile! It should have pointy angry eyebrows! [This was going to be the best pumpkin! He found a pen and brought it back.] Are you a good draw-er Kaito?

Eh, I can make do. [ He grins at him and accepts the pen ]

Lesse. BIG FANGY SMILE. Too much?

A big fangy smile sounds good! [He watches carefully, this is going to be the best scary face pumpkin ever!]

Right. [ He draws a Big Fangy smile and then steps back and hands the marker to Romeo ]


Your turn to work out the eyes!

Okay Kaito!

[He grinned and took the pen, looking at the pumpkin as he tried to decide how to make the best scary eyes.

Big wide eyes probably and lots of them. like an ayakashi... but would that be too scary? He begins drawing big round eyes.]

Are you planning on doing more than two? [ Kaito watches with interest ]

Yes! Do you think that will be too scary? Monsters have lots and lots of eyes!

[He pauses in his drawing for a moment.]

[ He considers the pumpkin and then grins ]

Eh. Why not! We're trying to make it scary, right? But don't put em too close together or it'll be hard to cut it out without damaging the pumpkin.
