Morning of Grasshopper Day 4 [video]
[ In Cabin 2:A, Curufin flails and falls out of his bunk with a crash, as usual when having a prophetic dream. Sorry, roommates! He disentangles his legs from the blankets, gathers himself up from the floor, grins with embarrassment at his long-suffering roomies, and then he scrambles over to the ICP on the little table. ]
Ah. . . good morning, Void Warriors. It seems I've had another premonitory dream, and like the others, it must be about the next mission. There wasn't anywhere near as much detail in this dream as in the others, though, and I don't know what to make of it.
There was just a clamor as of a battle taking place, but the sounds receded. [ Wry laugh. ] I must not have been in that fight, or I'd have known it!
Then suddenly there was a blaring alarm, maybe one of those modern sorts that they put on emergency vehicles or on buildings to warn of tornado weather? I had the feeling that some danger was approaching, even aside from the fact of the alarm. And then it screamed out again.
That's all. [ He scratches his head in puzzlement. ]
Jeez, I need some coffee.

You sure there wasn't anything else in the dream? Any little thing, no matter how insignificant?
no subject
No, nothing else. It was the most un-detailed dream I've ever had, prophetic or otherwise.
Well, maybe one more thing. The sound of the siren rose and fell in volume. But I don't know if that's important.

I didn't even get that. It was-
[Like being on Tevaral again, she thinks but doesn't say.]
I was underground, with friends - or people I knew, somehow. Nothing happened, but there was so much fear... The kind that keeps you awake, and you can't decide whether to curl up and cry or run away.
We were in sleeping bags, too.
[She's not looking forward to tomorrow, in other words.]

Not offhand...
[She can't think right now of what would get her to change her focus, but she thinks back to Tidus and Lightning's document of the mission parameters, and-
'mystical mumbo-jumbo']
Maybe one of the teams is specifically dealing with visions? I know I'd want to help with that.
[Enough to ignore what Orange Team is doing, though?]
Do we have enough of a sample for people from other teams?
no subject
Do you mean a sample of various visions? So far we only have three dreams reported. Mine and Nerdanel's were different, but yours and Misa's were the same. We're all Team Orange. So, unless one or more of those three dreams refers to what will happen to other teams, then we Orangies are going to have an interesting variety of experiences. Or maybe some of us will end up going with other teams, and that's the reason for the differences.

Good place to wrap?
Yes!

[ Nerdanel runs a hand through her hair, curls springing wildly out of a work braid - clearly, she was not really sleeping ]
Mine was very quiet - a room filled with strange equiment I did not recognise... and a glowing light in the center before things went dark.

I assumed you'd have the same dream, but apparently not. Maybe that makes sense, since our missions can involve more than one environment, even for the same team. I don't quite like that light going out. Still, a power failure is not the end of the world, considering how many Orange Team members (including me) are tech-heads. On that space mission, we got the power back on pretty quickly every time the station got hit.
no subject
I think they are certainly related, as has been proven previously. But wether twas a power failure or simply the dream ending, I do not know.
no subject
I wonder about that. These dreams are not always perfectly easy to interpret. If it was the dream ending, then it certainly was a short dream. If it was a power failure, then as I said, that's not an impossible problem. I just. . . hope there aren't other, darker possibilities.

Second thought, that actually makes sense. Different worlds different people there's...probably at least one other person out there who sees stuff before it happens right?
The third thought is just. The casualness of it all, really.] H...Hang on, [he manages after a minute, eventually hitting connect.] Y...Yer sayin' th's jus' happens on th' regular? Er.
Future dreams and uh...talkin' abou' 'm, I mean..?
[It's just a very odd way of going about it, from where he stood before.]
no subject
Yes, this does happen regularly. It started with just me and the other Elves having visions before each mission, but not it seems other people are having them as well. Future dreams, yes. Are you a visionary, too?
no subject
[wait no that question came too fast-
He should have seen it coming!] Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
[Is that a Yes, Jonouchi,]
no subject
[ He gives Jonouchi a slightly concerned look. That was an awfully long "Uh." ] It's not that unusual amongst non-Elvish peoples.

.... I got the same dream Nita did.
[ Misa doesn't look like she's slept for a week. ]
no subject
Same dream as Nita's? Are you all right, Misa?
no subject
Yes, the same as Nita's, and no.

I will be bringing rope with me.

Bring as much rope as you can carry!
And I'll try to be safe, but you know me well enough to know I like to take risks.
no subject
Do you often have Prophetic dreams?
no subject
In my world, I had quite a few of them. Most of the time, I didn't tell even my relatives about them. They always came true. The prophetic dreams I've had on the train have always come true as well.
no subject
So then...if this dream IS prophetic, then what can we glean from this? To be wary if we hear sirens?
