voice; to all (horseshoe 17)

Hey - 'sup everyone. What do you all think if we set up a mini-kitchen in the luggage room? Nothing too fancy - just so we can make sandwiches and get more drinks down this side of the train instead of going all the way to the big kitchen?

[ He hasn't been in his room a lot and feelin' the curse of being too low-energy to go to the kitchen, no siree. ]

I'm thinking...we'd need a counter, plug sockets - I think there's some in there? So...just get an adaptor? -bread, a toaster, cupboards. Some of the cutlery. Just something in the corner soon as you go in. And some snacks.

I don't mind spending points for it. But there anyone who thinks they can make the.,.cupboards? What else would be good?

At a guess? Curufin might be willing; work can distract from other thoughts.

[For a while, at least. He certainly seemed to be throwing himself into the train welcoming.]

... When my aunt takes up her tools again, though, I would expect it to be in stone. Another figurine, perhaps. As a memorial.

The best.

[And it's not only a defense of a kinswoman he's fond of- Nerdanel daughter of Mahtan is the greatest sculptor the Amanyar has ever produced. There is no competition.

And if she wants to make a statue of the idiot she married, she will do so. She tends to get her way like that.]

You have working eyes and a sense of space; at first, that's all that matters. I'll go bother Curufin, to see what he thinks. But either way, I'll do what I can.

Of course.

[It's not as though there are so many other options to busy oneself on the train, are there?]

I'll see if I can bother Atarinke, find out if he's buried himself under paperwork or something of the sort.

(No, he will never know why Curufin inflicted another survey on Orange Team. Also no, he will never stop making fun of it, that is the nature of cousinship.)

[Elves and their names, man. Elves and their many, many names.

And Curufin's is worse than most, it's basically Same-as-my-Dad Dad-Jr. Good job, Feanor and Nerdanel.]

Most Noldorin forgemasters are particular about their smithies, but to be honest I don't know about the paperwork. It's likely better kept than some of his brothers', but that isn't hard.

Do they? Ai, it sounds as though he has developed a taste for bureaucracy.

[This shit is why he had secretaries. Well. Back when he needed secretaries, that is.]

I'll see whether he needs to be pulled out of it, but either way you'll have your cupboard. I am a perfectly competent woodworker in my own right, and I've made furniture before.
