Hey - 'sup everyone. What do you all think if we set up a mini-kitchen in the luggage room? Nothing too fancy - just so we can make sandwiches and get more drinks down this side of the train instead of going all the way to the big kitchen?
[ He hasn't been in his room a lot and feelin' the curse of being too low-energy to go to the kitchen, no siree. ]
I'm thinking...we'd need a counter, plug sockets - I think there's some in there? So...just get an adaptor? -bread, a toaster, cupboards. Some of the cutlery. Just something in the corner soon as you go in. And some snacks.
I don't mind spending points for it. But there anyone who thinks they can make the.,.cupboards? What else would be good?

[Nerdanel... might not be up to it at the moment, though. But Curufin might appreciate a project to take his mind off things.]

Great! We just need the materials right? I might know someone I can ask.
Who's the family?

Curufin is my cousin, Nerdanel my aunt. Fingon Fingolfinion, at your service.

[Trunks is a little awkward, yes.]
So, this is a good idea and I think I can help. Back in my world, we have something called Capsules.
[Trunks pulls out his capsule case and pulls out the one labeled 2031.]
They store things in them, although I couldn't tell you the science behind it. I also know they should NOT be stored within the ARMS band, because I don't think they'd interact well with whatever space-time manipulation the bands use either for holding things.
[Holding up the capsule though, so Tidus can see how it just fits in his hand easily.]
This one though, holds a mini-fridge. I can demonstrate sometime for you, but this might be a way for you guys to have more than just basic sandwiches, and save space. I know coffee-makers and rice-cookers are available, and the mini-fridge is absolutely available. They'd just take points from the store.

Wow- those sound like they'd be great for the missions. [ Huh! ] Maybe... if we wanted anything like a rice cooker or whatever down there, those'd work for keeping them outta the way.
But it'd be easier to keep some of the stuff out, like a coffee maker. Make it easier to get to.

I've actually already discussed with Roland how we can get small storage crates and similar for missions. I don't know what the store would let us get though--capsules can even contain houses or vehicles, back home. I do know it allows us to buy the mini-fridge, I got one for Cassie.
[OOC: Already talked with mods and standard rules apply for capsules. Nothing bigger than a large suitcase.]

That's not at all a bad idea, Tidus. And I'm sure someone on this train's got the talent to make the cupboards. [ What does magic even do, what are its limits, Roland doesn't know. Anyway. ] Say, how many Sleeper cars are you going to try and cover with the mini-kitchen by Luggage? This train's grown so expansive that you might be able to service Sleeper cars 1 through 4.

How ever many people want? I didn't have any big ideas. But if a lot of people want it and it gets used, we can keep adding to it. How well it's gonna work depends on people making sure to add food down there too.
[ That's about as far as his thoughts go... ]

[ He pauses for a quick second, almost like he went off the ICP. But the delay is brief, not enough to warrant worry or awkwardness. ]
I only brought it up because we're going to borrow utensils and tools from the main kitchen, right? That just means approximating how many people the mini-kitchen can serve so we know how many spoons, forks, knives, plates, and cups to borrow from the other end of the train. That's about seventy-eight people now, not accounting for those who may not even need to eat.
[ You better believe he's helping you make this come true by planning and counting. That's what he checked on the roster, after all, newly minted and updated! ]

Would it be easier to buy instant food? Can you make that on a train?
[ He has. No clue. ]
in which we learn that Gen has never seen Gourmet Makes
[ Wait. ]
[ Thinks about it. ]
[ .... ???!?? ]
I have absolutely no idea! There's likely some sort of science involved to turn complex flavors into little powders, I suppose. I wonder if anyone's tried to do that before?
both them like, "how they do it???"
