Hey everyone-so I have a quick little PSA for you all and then I'm gonna go back to trying ta sleep I guess. Maybe it'll work out better. Um... anyways uh... I tried not to let it get to me buuuuut it did. So yeah-

Don't ever, ever say that what someone went through doesn't matter. It just makes you look like a jerk. It doesn't matter if you know what they've gone through or not-don't say it.

It does matter to them and you have no idea why or how much it mattered. So yeah, just don't say it.

You -- no. No, I said, what do we do when he succumbs to the influence of our enemy and betray us, and he said he would rather die than betray us. That's the point. If his only choice were betrayal or death, he'd choose death. I'm really not sure where you're getting anything else out of that.

[The rest of it? He's just ignoring. The kid wants to slander him to the entire train, he's not going to just go without making his defense. The explanation isn't for him, it's for everyone else. Edge figures no one will listen, but if they choose to believe the kid straight out, then it's either because they willfully chose not to hear him, or they really do believe that people can do terrible things and have their histories excuse it. Either way, their scorn and disdain doesn't matter at all to Edge.]

[And everything else the kid is saying now? They'd heard the conversation if they chose to, they could interpret it as they will. Probably they'd choose to hear it as the kid is saying it now, which Edge considers quite different from what he'd actually said then... but again.]

Let me argue it this way. None of you know what I've been through, none of you care. Because it doesn't matter. As far as our disagreements have been concerned, it absolutely doesn't matter. That's just a blade that cuts both ways, you see?

the whole point of of this is that I can't sleep now because I feel like shit and I don't want anyone else to feel like shit so I'm making this announcement telling people not to do the shitty thing that makes other people feel like shit.

[To Edge, this is a pathetic and transparent excuse. The kid wanted to take another shot at him, and did so by twisting his words and taking them out of context and spreading them to everyone. This whiny play of "I'm so saaad, and when you explain it's okay for me to ignore it and try to make you the villain because I'm so PURE and INNOCENT" disgusts him. He doesn't understand for a second why anyone buys this.]

[He's starting to think he's given the boy too little credit for manipulation. To say in one breath that he doesn't want to hurt anyone while overtly encouraging others to hurt Edge himself? That's impressive. And it sickens Edge.]
