Some Voidtreckers have provided feedback and suggestions. One question that occurs often is about them. The old crew, the voidtreckers who came before.

It is difficult to answer such questions. There were many and they were varied. They are gone. Find them. FIND THEM.

Much of the data from before is incomplete, scrambled. Some was salvageable. The best people to learn about voidtreckers from are voidtreckers themselves.

Do you mean that in regards to the plan they hint towards in these logs? If so, it is an interesting theory and certainly possible. But they may not have had to. It seems a key might be to find out what the scientist named Xela Istrola deemed taboo.

I also want to encourage the passengers on this voyage to record the information they have, both missions and incidents such as this one. Not just in one form, but several, so the loss of knowledge is not because we placed faith in one medium. For those who responded to my request for information during the Diagad mission, I am grateful. I want to encourage others to step forward as well in the future.

If anyone wants it, I was shown the memories from Jema'grethy by Nita and I am always willing to speak about what was in them. I also have notes about the Jema'grethy memories and what happened when I and several others spoke to Chaos at Diagad.

The more people who know this info, the better.

They mentioned shapes. It would be hard to deny this is what some of us witnessed in the visions provided during our imprisonment in the false Diagad.

Yes. This is largely to do with the mystery of why this train acts independent of the system established by the Void Ministry and why we are effectively summoned without warning, rather than volunteers of this voyage.

[Elidibus seems back to normal. A day and a bit more to rest seems to have gotten him back to... at least the point where he can easily hide how exhausted the last mission made him.]

These videos and recordings seem to be surviving records of the last formal crew of the Voidtrecker Express we are now on. It appears their actions have likely caused a rewrite of reality... whether by turning back time or manipulating its very fabric is uncertain.

What occurred may also reveal or be connected to an entity known as Chaos. He is a grave threat this group of passengers have encountered on several missions before your arrival.

[ So that was all...something. And he wonders what made the train decide to do this now - whose particular comments made it decide to do this. But what he gets out of this, is... ]

I don't know if we learned anything new from any of that, [ it was kind of a lot and at once, ] but we all agree, any time we find ourselves somewhere with a chance to talk to someone about the void, we're doing it, right? This is stupid - nothing's changed since the train started doing this. It doesn't know anything about its crew, and it sure isn't letting us try and find out anything new.

How're we supposed to do anything when it won't even let us?

Even the train's gotta realise trying to dodge people who have some clue about the void isn't getting it anywhere.

Oh, definitely. I mean, I get why the train's avoiding anyone who might know about the void, since there's the risk of them trying to report the train, but it doesn't help us find her missing crew.

Okay, so... when we talked to Anan back on Diagad, she was sayin' everything about Diagad was wiped out by that thing. News, records on other worlds, all of it gone. At least that's how I understood it.

So I mean, I ain't got a lot of theories, but maybe it ain't just time travel. Maybe it's time travel that crosses the path of what this big thing destroys?

I dunno. The only time traveller I know lit out and I think it works different for every universe. S'all a pain in the ass.

I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on what I have to say, particularly those who have interacted with Anan or those related to this Void Ministry. But I have one piece of advice to offer.

Until we are more certain of matters, we do not speak of the depth of our knowledge to outsiders, particularly what was learned today.

Especially to other Voidtreckers, no matter how trusted. Make your inquiries but be discreet.

That said, I believe it is past time we started leveraging the connections we have instead of hoping to find fellow void travelers on our next mission. Perhaps we could devise a way to connect with Anan and her crew.

Long as we don't stop trying to find a way off this train, or getting a better deal about our situation. But how quiet are we supposed to be about what happened with the train and its old crew? Anan already knows.

I agree. We need to make inquiries when we can, but we need to be careful. Especially with electronic searches. The Void Ministry may be on the lookout for sudden spikes in certain subjects being searched for.

[Lea wonders if he's the only one who had the urge to reach out and pat the ICP terminal reassuringly after that burst of static. Did the train even have a sense of touch? He really hopes not; the idea of it being able to feel all of them walking around inside it kind of creeps him out.]

OK, I'm not gonna claim I understand any of the time-travel stuff there. I'll leave figuring that out to the more science-minded people.

My question is, since the train wants us to find its old crew- and even if it didn't, I'd want to- does anyone have any ideas where to start looking? I mean, quietly asking around on void-aware worlds could help, yeah, but given the weirdness of the situation, we might have to get a bit creative. That is, not sticking strictly to verified facts. The Voidtreckers is supposed to be a legend, maybe we could find something in other legends, you know?

Like maybe a rumored undiscovered world? Or someplace that's between worlds, but not the same way the Void itself is? Or maybe a world that you can only get to under certain circumstances? Like back home, there's a world called Traverse Town; it only appears when someone is lost or traveling between worlds and needs a refuge. The rest of the time, you can't get to it. I wonder if there's any worlds like that here...

Asking people's still going to be easier than searching for anything, right? I mean, we can do both - but I think convincing the train to let us search more or go to void-active places to figure things out's going to be our best bet than working the way we are now.

[ There's a pause, a point he's really trying to get to, a small sigh. ]

I'm just saying - tell the train and show you want to help it, right? 'If you want us to do this, you need to help us look for answers' -- you know?

[ Thanatos had been one of the ones to provide feedback, but he knew very little about the previous crew. Part of Xela's message repeats in his head, and he's written the words down in his notebook.

Voidtrecker Express. Do you long for home? I’m homesick I guess. I know it is useless to try and track planet time but... It would be winter on Thistea now.

That's a more definite confirmation than he's gotten from anyone. Time is moving without them. And Xela seems to also suggest going back in time. He cannot blame the past crew for attempting to travel through time to prevent a world from being completely destroyed. After all, Thanatos hopes he'll be able to return to the point in time he left to prevent all life from suffering a lack of death for five months. ]

Are we to assume they were successful? Were they able to go back in time to change that world's fate, or did they trap themselves somewhere in the attempt?

The original home base of void travel, and this train's home planet, was Enrara in System 1015. Thistea was Enrara's sister planet, in the same system. All records of that system's existence have been erased.

We might be in the middle of the attempt now.
