Nebula, day 14, voice

Some Voidtreckers have provided feedback and suggestions. One question that occurs often is about them. The old crew, the voidtreckers who came before.

It is difficult to answer such questions. There were many and they were varied. They are gone. Find them. FIND THEM.

[There seems to be some static, all the ICPs flicker. But it's only a moment and then...]

Much of the data from before is incomplete, scrambled. Some was salvageable. The best people to learn about voidtreckers from are voidtreckers themselves.

[A series of voice clips and video clips play, one after another in a random order. Though they remain, on the train log, for people to watch later.

Yes. This is largely to do with the mystery of why this train acts independent of the system established by the Void Ministry and why we are effectively summoned without warning, rather than volunteers of this voyage.

[Elidibus seems back to normal. A day and a bit more to rest seems to have gotten him back to... at least the point where he can easily hide how exhausted the last mission made him.]

These videos and recordings seem to be surviving records of the last formal crew of the Voidtrecker Express we are now on. It appears their actions have likely caused a rewrite of reality... whether by turning back time or manipulating its very fabric is uncertain.

What occurred may also reveal or be connected to an entity known as Chaos. He is a grave threat this group of passengers have encountered on several missions before your arrival.

Oh, wonderful. All my favourite things all in one place.

[ the sarcasm is strong as usual. ]

An' since I'm gettin' the feelin' nothing happens for no reason, I bet this Chaos thing is gonna be a problem...

Eh. Ain't like I'm solvin' any mysteries anyway. When the time comes somebody like me just needs to worry about who the enemies are.

It already has caused considerable problems. Our last 'mission', if you will, had most of us trapped with hundreds of others in a false world. Most were trapped in the illusion of another's life. Chaos seeks to recreate his lost world of Diagad and will likely do so on the sacrifices of many lives.

[Mind you, Elidibus doesn't sound particularly distressed or offended by this game plan. But it is a fact that it's a concern for their future survival.]

And yes, finding out who our enemies truly are is of utmost concern. Make certain your blade strikes true, Assassin.

[Stopping Chaos might just be a necessary evil it appears, as far as the Ascian is concerned.]
