Some Voidtreckers have provided feedback and suggestions. One question that occurs often is about them. The old crew, the voidtreckers who came before.

It is difficult to answer such questions. There were many and they were varied. They are gone. Find them. FIND THEM.

[There seems to be some static, all the ICPs flicker. But it's only a moment and then...]

Much of the data from before is incomplete, scrambled. Some was salvageable. The best people to learn about voidtreckers from are voidtreckers themselves.

It could be a diverging timeline. They could have been more...government-sanctioned in the original run of events, but in going back, realized that they needed to hide on the margins.

[ He nods, shuffling through his notes, and holds the paper up. ]

You mean this one?

No no, the one you stuck into everyone's cabins. From the Ministry? It might be on there, [ nodding his head to the...screen! ] --but doesn't everyone know about the Voidtrecker as some old legend?

Right. This one. We're fugitives...I always wonder when we stop on those relaxation worlds, if someone's going to turn us in.

Would that really be a bad thing?

If the legend spread and we could somehow rally more support from people like Anan and her crew, that's one thing. But if it led to our capture?

The train told us it would be disastrous if we were caught. As did Captain Halo. They would stop the train from preventing the coming catastrophe...if they were merciful they would simply try to convince us we were brainwashed by the train, and try to reprogram us into their society.

If they weren't merciful, we would face worse.

And if we try avoiding being noticed, then what? The train isn't helping us help it, it doesn't trust us! But it says we should go along with it while it takes us from planets and people that need us. And that's any better?

It's not like anyone's done anything to us - that message got sent out ages ago. They weren't asking for our destruction or anything.

Anan is part of the Ministry. But at this rate, nothing's getting better. We just believe we're gonna get reprogrammed by them 'cause - why? It might happen? 'Cause the train's worried it's gonna get in trouble for dragging us around like this?

[ Seto is quiet for a few moments. He's familiar with the frustration, and he's started to feel it too. ]

These messages are a small show of trust, aren't they? We can build on this. But the pace is brutal.

I'm tired of being dragged across the universe, learning teamwork, forging bonds, then watching as the train loses its tethers and scatters our team to worlds unknown. Sometimes it feels like we're hamsters in a wheel.

Active outreach on the next void-aware world, then?

...Yeah.

[ His own frustrations ease at that. They were never directed at Seto. They've both been through this over and over. People they miss, living through never having answers. ]

I know it's a gamble... and you know, if we can figure out this problem the void's facing, with those weird shapes, then I want that. But I think this train knows as much as we do about what to do. We can't just hide away - we'll never figure anything out. We need answers.

[blue_ice]

...I don't like the risk, but. You're right that it might be necessary.

We just need to get everyone who's actively investigating on the same page about it, or as close to that as possible.

[blitzcheer]

Just remember we're in a train that flies around in void-space! If we get into trouble, we'll beat it up or run away!
