So... I guess I've been doing a lot of thinking since the last mission.
[Danny shifts nervously as he tries to figure out how to say this. This was a lot harder than he had thought it would be. Sure, he'd gotten used to the idea that it was okay to be open about his powers here. But there was a difference between that and admitting to some of the things this last mission had made him realize about himself.]
And I kind of have some things that I was hoping that someone could help me out with.
I guess the first thing is.... I haven't been really hiding that I have ghost powers? But the thing is, I guess I kind of realized that I've been avoiding trying to get stronger with them? [Because the mission had made him realize that he was still afraid of his future. Afraid of how powerful he could be in just a few years. It had been easier to just focus on learning how to fight and how to better use the powers he already had. But if the last mission was any guide, that wasn't always going to be enough. He needed to get stronger with his powers, and prepare for the new powers that he knew were still waiting for him.] So I guess what I'm asking is.... Does anyone here have any ideas on how you train ghost powers?
And kind of to go with that.... It kind of got pointed out to me that I have a lot of abilities that could be a Problem if I got brainwashed again like that. So, I guess what I'm asking is whether there are any ghost hunters here? Or people with experience with stopping supernatural stuff? And does anyone have any ideas on how to block mind control and illusion stuff? More than we already trained for, I mean. Because that obviously wasn't enough.

[Later, Danny picks up his most recent purchases from the train shop and goes in search of his friends. He had some tools to hand out.]

VIDEO - Apparently it's 'kiyoiri tags lel' month now,
Well, the delivery is certainly quite flat, but-] As for training against ghosts, typically I would suggest a simulation involving them but I suspect that wouldn't quite work. If I had the ability from the other world I could summon them, but that wouldn't feel right either; most ghosts prefer the rest they have, particularly if they have to be summoned at all.
However, perhaps if you train against someone who is 'ghost-like', or can create similar things, it would be enough.
[....Now as for that last one. Well. Kiyoiri blinks.] Mind control and illusions are tricky- it normally takes focus, and a grounding force to bring someone back- something sharp enough to remind a person of who they actually are. Personally speaking, I'm not a ghost hunter, but more than a few times, I've fought them alongside various Heroic Spirits- Takechirou would be capable of that much if he shapeshifted into the right one.

[He shrugs.] That's a thought. But I'm not really sure if a simulation would help much. I fought real ghosts all the time at home. I'm not sure if fighting something I knew was fake would help.
[A blink.] You could summon ghosts back there? Do you think you could have summoned me?
[A sigh.] I can already tell this is going to suck a lot. Maybe I'm better off sticking with the thermos plan.
no subject
[Much worse... ...Ahem.] The simulations at home were pretty realistic, but that's part of why I don't think it would work here; I haven't seen anything as impressive, aside from the false world we were in.
[....Kiyoiri blinks.
She will now dwell on this question for the next two months.] ....I'm not sure. Perhaps? Typically I used the ability over a particular location, or name after all. [And she does...have the latter for sure...]
What is the 'Thermos plan'?

[Because Danny is also human, he's not a ghost possessing a human as far as Zelgadis can tell.]
Can you just practice to improve your strength?
Re: [voice]
[A frown.]
I'm not really sure how? Back home I got attacked by ghosts all the time, so I kind of had to learn almost everything in the middle of a fight. I barely ever had time just to practice, and most of that was stuff about remembering not to walk through walls.
Re: [voice]
If not, we could try to set up some drills against inanimate objects, if your powers work on them. Sparring against a person would be better, but only if you think you can control your power successfully. I'm not the only person on the train resistant to damage, but I don't want you panicking if you think you've accidentally hurt someone while practicing.

Particularly if I use the Seiten sutra.

If that makes sense.
Is that the thing that kind of exploded on that demon mission?

Uh... thanks for the offer? But I think I might make that a very last resort plan?
[His voice might have squeaked a little at the end.]
Like, I'm only half dead. Probably. So I'd rather not die the rest of the way? If I can avoid it?

Yeah, I guess you could say that.
If someone gets into my head again like that, and sends me to destroy things, do you think you could stop me?

I also stopped a demonic mask from crashing a moon into an entire world.
[Link, ladies and gentlemen. He flashed a nervous smile.]
I think I could help you if you were under mind-control. Stop you from hurting people and get you to some place where you and everyone else would be safe.
If you want to work on actually fighting mind-control before it happens, you should talk to my brother.
Re: (video)
Wow, that... I'm guessing it worked out all right?
[He sighs.]
Yeah, if you think you could get me away before I hurt anyone. I'd appreciate that.
Your brother?

[ She doesn't want to believe it would ever come down to that, but she can understand the worry. Especially with how easy it's been with having their minds manipulated recently. So if there was something she could do to help, she would. ]
