So... I guess I've been doing a lot of thinking since the last mission.
[Danny shifts nervously as he tries to figure out how to say this. This was a lot harder than he had thought it would be. Sure, he'd gotten used to the idea that it was okay to be open about his powers here. But there was a difference between that and admitting to some of the things this last mission had made him realize about himself.]
And I kind of have some things that I was hoping that someone could help me out with.
I guess the first thing is.... I haven't been really hiding that I have ghost powers? But the thing is, I guess I kind of realized that I've been avoiding trying to get stronger with them? [Because the mission had made him realize that he was still afraid of his future. Afraid of how powerful he could be in just a few years. It had been easier to just focus on learning how to fight and how to better use the powers he already had. But if the last mission was any guide, that wasn't always going to be enough. He needed to get stronger with his powers, and prepare for the new powers that he knew were still waiting for him.] So I guess what I'm asking is.... Does anyone here have any ideas on how you train ghost powers?
And kind of to go with that.... It kind of got pointed out to me that I have a lot of abilities that could be a Problem if I got brainwashed again like that. So, I guess what I'm asking is whether there are any ghost hunters here? Or people with experience with stopping supernatural stuff? And does anyone have any ideas on how to block mind control and illusion stuff? More than we already trained for, I mean. Because that obviously wasn't enough.

[Later, Danny picks up his most recent purchases from the train shop and goes in search of his friends. He had some tools to hand out.]

[If anything the worry only grows.]
Uh, sure? That's fine with me.

Any excuse to put off his part of this conversation.

[How did she even start to approach this.]
So. You remember, last mission? I was...having trouble with my powers a bit? After...

[It seemed like the best way to start.]
The...when we tried to dispel the big illusion, the entity took us. It...tortured us.

"Are you okay now? Apart from the powers problem?"

"Is there anything I can do? I don't think. I mean, I'm willing to hang out if it would help you sleep."

Now she uncurled enough to reach for her backpack, pulling out a hand mirror. "I use this as a meditation tool sometimes. It...can be a portal into my mind. Yondu and Soldat both know about it already. And if something happens, and I go out of control, use this and take me down." It might also be able to be used to help her heal, but Raven was still figuring out those ways.

"I'm not laughing at you. Its just..." He reaches into the bag he'd brought with him and pulls out a futuristic metallic belt and thermos. "I was going to ask you to do the same thing for me, if the next time someone decides to brainwash me into something worse than happy suburbia."

How had it gotten to this point, that they both needed a plan in place to take them out if they became a threat?

He shakes off the dark humor turn the conversation had taken.
"But back on topic, of course I 'll do everything I can to stop you from hurting anyone. You know, if the worst happened."
That was a concern he definitely understood.

"Oh! I should show you how these work. This is the Fenton Thermos." He points at the cylinder. "My parents invented them as ghost containment devices. All you have to do is take the lid off, point it at me, and hit the button."
And here he carefully points at the belt, being careful not to touch it with his bare hand. "And this is a Spectre Deflector. It wards off ghost energy, so I can't touch anyone wearing one of them."
He may have neglected to mention what it did to him if he touched it.

"I guess sometimes your life just sucks that way. At least this is something I got my freaking over done with a while ago."
It still bothered him. A lot. But planning to do something about it helped.

"I get it," he says. "It was great seeing Razzy again. But it made me worry a lot too, you know?" Not just for her. But also because it opened the door to the idea of other people from his worlds arriving here.
He grimaces. "For the record, I'm still going to punch him if he ever shows up here."

"Seems like that isn't a bad thing to get used to. But its a little tough, right?"
Danny had never doubted that his friends and his family cared about him. But he imagined learning to accept that was maybe a little like how hard it had been for him to accept that no one here cared that he was half ghost.
