So... I guess I've been doing a lot of thinking since the last mission.

[Danny shifts nervously as he tries to figure out how to say this. This was a lot harder than he had thought it would be. Sure, he'd gotten used to the idea that it was okay to be open about his powers here. But there was a difference between that and admitting to some of the things this last mission had made him realize about himself.]

And I kind of have some things that I was hoping that someone could help me out with.

I guess the first thing is.... I haven't been really hiding that I have ghost powers? But the thing is, I guess I kind of realized that I've been avoiding trying to get stronger with them? [Because the mission had made him realize that he was still afraid of his future. Afraid of how powerful he could be in just a few years. It had been easier to just focus on learning how to fight and how to better use the powers he already had. But if the last mission was any guide, that wasn't always going to be enough. He needed to get stronger with his powers, and prepare for the new powers that he knew were still waiting for him.] So I guess what I'm asking is.... Does anyone here have any ideas on how you train ghost powers?

And kind of to go with that.... It kind of got pointed out to me that I have a lot of abilities that could be a Problem if I got brainwashed again like that.  So, I guess what I'm asking is whether there are any ghost hunters here? Or people with experience with stopping supernatural stuff? And does anyone have any ideas on how to block mind control and illusion stuff? More than we already trained for, I mean. Because that obviously wasn't enough.

[Later, Danny picks up his most recent purchases from the train shop and goes in search of his friends. He had some tools to hand out.]

Really? Do you have any ideas on how you start training ghost powers? Because I'm mostly just guessing on what will help.

The best place to start is by walking through what you can do. Then we can find better ways to focus it.

[ Danny shifts a little awkwardly. It was actually a little embarrassing, how many powers he had these days. ]

Well, the basics are intangibility, invisibility and flying. I think I've mostly got those down. By which I mean that I don't do them accidentally any more. I can also feel the presence of other ghosts, make and control ice, throw blasts of ectoenergy and make several kinds of shields out of it, duplicate myself...

[ He pauses to think, counting the powers out on his fingers. ]

Oh, there's overshadowing too. And I can go into dreams too, which I think is part of overshadowing. There's also the ghostly wail, where I can scream really loudly and destroy everything in front of me.

Let's... maybe not do that last one on the train.

[It seems like a really bad idea okay?]

Dreams are more my brother's domain. But maybe I can fill in for ghosts for some of the others.

Yeah... I kind of figured. That's one I don't actually know how to stop once I start? So its kind of tough to figure out how to train it. Especially since it tends to destroy everything in the area.

Really? That would be awesome!

Probably somewhere where you can get most of the area empty other than things you don't mind destroying.

[She has no idea where they'd get that since they tend to be a little busy during missions]

Something to watch out for on missions, then. [He makes a face.] Although it also tends to totally wipe me out for a day or so, so it would have to be at the end of a mission too.

And that's usually when we need to pull out every trick we have.

I guess there might be reasons to point it at the problem then.

"Well, I guess. I'e gotten close to pulling it out on a few missions. But theres always enough of us fighting at the end that I get too worried about it hitting some of the other passengers."
