Video(?); Kazoo 18
[So if some of you haven't seen Murderbot yet - which isn't surprising, it's been absolutely keeping to itself as much as possible - you've now seen it. It's staring at the video feed with a slight frown, hand half-blocking the view]
All right, this should-
[And as it speaks? The words are popping in around it. Sort of like disjointed subtitles. Its eyes widen imperceptibly, then narrow just as much as its frown deepens.]
That's not supposed to-
[It doesn't actually say those ones aloud- but they pop in anyway. Its frown turns in to a scowl as other words fill the feed - we're talking floating sentences ranging from expressions of annoyance, to is that raw binary? - before the entire message cuts off.]
((OOC; This is related to this bit of schenanigins; feel free to poke ICly or OOCly if you're interested in getting involved!))

You trying to program it to do something?
[ And because Futaba is Terminally Online, the reply comes pretty quickly after the initial post. ]
no subject
but...it guesses that. it should put more effort in to learning how interaction works and all. It's still a pretty quick reply - this decision is made at the speed of computing, after all - and when Murderbot responds, it seems like it's covering the camera with its hand or something because there's nothing at all]
Text visualization.

So like... speech-to-text? Or thought-to-text?
[ The latter one would honestly be just beyond the capabilities of even her time, even, but still cool. And interesting. And maybe something she could help out with! ]

[Beat]
I don't need one, generally.
no subject
... are you a sentient computer program or something?

Have a person alight with interest, MB, whose voice definitely isn't coming from his mouth.]
Is that supposed to be subtitles, or straight text?
[... Because, honestly, that second part looked like straight thought-to-text, and that is, as they say, Ghost's specialty.]
no subject
Text. I'll have it fixed soon.

[There's a pause, and then - well, it doesn't seem like this person, at least, will give a fuck, so enjoy a screen just... levitating into view? And floating in front of the ICP's camera, occupying the bottom half of the 'screen'?
The rest is in text.]
Like, I'm okay, the text-to-speech I have is good and with a little adjustment it's hard to tell from a human voice, but most people aren't from 2035's level of technology. Also there's a deaf kid?
no subject
Oh.
This, it likes. It doesn't have a screen to do the same, but-]
Wherever you got that, I'll take two. [One in case it breaks and all that, but.] But- I wasn't going to keep this for myself, once I got it working. [Implication being; freecode for everyone once it finishes, but it's working on it for its own use firstly]
no subject
...It's just a phone, though, the levitation is me.
[Clarity on first impressions is important!]
If you can get it going, though, it'd make life easier for a hell of a lot of people, me included. So thanks.

You could say that.

How are you Interfacing with the ICP system? Virtues know I haven't even been able to find a way in.
no subject
...my tech's a little more advanced than yours. I touched it day one, but...it's complex.

Hey, y'all... not to interrupt, but there's a kid who cain't hear too good so he has to look at mouths to speak. Apparently his SCA gives 'im a text option for a short duration on missions so he can 'hear' comms.
The shit is there somewheres. You just gotta dig for it. Might just be exclusive to Yoite, though.
no subject
Yeah, he's my roommate because apparently the train has a twisted sense of humor.
That's good to know, but do the SCA connect to these? If they're fully independent systems, it could be a bit harder to pass things from one to the other.
...Though it would be pretty stupid to have them on separate systems, but then again, we're still using paper tickets here for some reason.
[He's not impress, train! What's the point of having everyone wear smart watches and not just having the ID system keyed to those! God!]
no subject
Y'all! I know you're tech specialists, but this train grabs sorcerers 'n' such out the ass. Whole train is lousy with 'em.
You're gonna have to consult with magic people to notice half the stuff it got goin' on.

[ If they've all been isekaied here there could be like twenty different magic systems in play, not to mention not-quite-magic-definitely-not-normal stuff like the Metaverse. This could be a lot more complicated than any of them are anticipating, if the ICPs and SCAs are indeed some kind of magitech hybrid thing.
Either way, she's got her credentials to talk up for whoever's watching, and there's enough replies flying around in all directions to know that everyone's watching. ]
How about somebody who's a tech specialist, and good with supernatural stuff?
