[So if some of you haven't seen Murderbot yet - which isn't surprising, it's been absolutely keeping to itself as much as possible - you've now seen it. It's staring at the video feed with a slight frown, hand half-blocking the view]

All right, this should-

[And as it speaks? The words are popping in around it. Sort of like disjointed subtitles. Its eyes widen imperceptibly, then narrow just as much as its frown deepens.]

That's not supposed to-

[It doesn't actually say those ones aloud- but they pop in anyway. Its frown turns in to a scowl as other words fill the feed - we're talking floating sentences ranging from expressions of annoyance, to is that raw binary? - before the entire message cuts off.]

That's good to know, but do the SCA connect to these? If they're fully independent systems, it could be a bit harder to pass things from one to the other.

...Though it would be pretty stupid to have them on separate systems, but then again, we're still using paper tickets here for some reason.

[Called! Out! Rude, Yondu!] ...I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I definitely have a bad habit of assuming the train is just a piece of advanced technology. I guess I can't help but default to that-- easier for my to understand-- but... it's probably not. There's almost definitely some kind of magic at play here as well.

So thanks for the reminder, Yondu. Having magical input is probably going to be necessary to make this happen.

I do enjoy poking at magical things and figuring out how they work, so I might as well take a look and tell what I see. Provide an additional perspective. I can probably handle any magical interface needs, too, I'm good at making things. I also know a little about coding, but really am rather rudimentary in that skillset. Never did anything with it beyond creating a visual novel once. With an engine someone else made. But I at least know the general gist so I can probably make it easier to interface with.

Oh, I help for free when I feel like it. It's just that I value my time. There's a lot of things I could be doing, and my skills were in pretty high demand where I come from. I got so many people asking me for things I ended up basically hiring people just to screen those requests.

Here, though, there aren't that many people and fewer things to do, so expect me lending a hand for free more often.

It's definitely got both. I mean, I was helpin' repair ICPs Senku was breakin'. I didn't need to be magic to do that.

From what I've seen about the types o' magic in my universe an' the ones here, they got rules? Same as tech there's ways of goin' about stuff. I don't figure it ain't nonsense. It's somethin' someone with the right eyes can pick up. Hell, could be spells in code or circuits you cain't see...

You're not the first person I've heard say that about magic. Hell, I've started to pick up on that a little myself. [Like seeing the law of conservation of energy in play when Koumyou had wiped himself out in the kitchen the other day, expending so much chi.] If we get enough eyes on it, one of them will have to be the right pair, right?

Also the SCAs gotta be compatible with the ICPs in some way 'cause you can transfer music between the two. Music car shit. I know that's a song-listin' really and it might just be in that car, but our status shows up on the roster on the ICPs too.

Y'all might wanna look at how that happens. The two are all linked up somehow.

Not a great assumption to make around here. You may be able to do a lot in your home reality, but things are different here. Be careful.

Yes, this is unknown magical stuff running on a magic system likely unknown to me. I'm reasonably confident I can figure out at least a little, but additional perspectives from those working with different occult systems than me would definitely help.

[ If they've all been isekaied here there could be like twenty different magic systems in play, not to mention not-quite-magic-definitely-not-normal stuff like the Metaverse. This could be a lot more complicated than any of them are anticipating, if the ICPs and SCAs are indeed some kind of magitech hybrid thing.

Either way, she's got her credentials to talk up for whoever's watching, and there's enough replies flying around in all directions to know that everyone's watching. ]

How about somebody who's a tech specialist, and good with supernatural stuff?

Yeah. An' I know we got a couple of scientists that are into both magic an' tech. So I think y'all could figure it out.

But I'm sayin', comin' from a fleet that's usually a patchwork of tech from a buncha planets and cultures, when you fixin' somethin' like that you gotta do all kindsa side-eyein' or else it'll blow up in your face.

Magic ain't my strong suit, though. [So all he can really do is offer the observation and his vague experience patching incongruous shit together.]

Hell, there's a li'l' guy here what hopped out of an ICP at me like he was ridin' through it. So there's some kinda network connectin' everythin' that I don't get.

Good, you should be helpful for building the tech-magic bridge. I've done some stuff like that, but all my magic creations that interfaced with computers used some really hacky solutions that involved reading the 'intent' of the computer as well as that of its user. I knew some literal computer wizards, though. Anyways, having someone who can handle both should help with building a better interface than what I just mentioned.
