Video(?); Kazoo 18

[So if some of you haven't seen Murderbot yet - which isn't surprising, it's been absolutely keeping to itself as much as possible - you've now seen it. It's staring at the video feed with a slight frown, hand half-blocking the view]

All right, this should-

[And as it speaks? The words are popping in around it. Sort of like disjointed subtitles. Its eyes widen imperceptibly, then narrow just as much as its frown deepens.]

That's not supposed to-

[It doesn't actually say those ones aloud- but they pop in anyway. Its frown turns in to a scowl as other words fill the feed - we're talking floating sentences ranging from expressions of annoyance, to is that raw binary? - before the entire message cuts off.]

((OOC; This is related to this bit of schenanigins; feel free to poke ICly or OOCly if you're interested in getting involved!))

... With the amount of bored train downtime we have here, you could probably become the most popular person around, depending on what you've got.

[And so did Murderbot get the entire train addicted to Sanctuary Moon.]

I do enjoy engaging in media. It allows me to explore the other cultures on the train from the relatively safe distance of observation, even if portrayals are exaggerated.

You're welcome to crib whatever code you can manage off my phone, including the voice synth, but you can't have the voicebanks labelled 'Morgan' and 'Danielle,' those aren't mine to share.

[Well, one of them sort of is, since it would be obvious that 'Morgan' is in fact the voice Ghost uses for 'speech,' but. y'know. consent matters.]

[Do you know the vague handwave, Rin? Because you've just been treated to a spectacular example.]

Wherever, whenever, I'm easy. 2-D if you're looking in the sleeper cars, but the far end of the luggage car if you can't find me there or in the kitchen. I don't really have a set routine or schedule yet.

I'll send you a copy of the relevant coding from my Interface, Rin, but you're shit outta luck if you want to actually dismantle it. Suppose I could always order you one from home, though, if you thought that'd be helpful?

You got it. Any particular functionality you're looking for, that you think will be helpful? There are a lot of different classes of Interface available.

I'd be happy to help you make some voice recognition equipment to beta test once there's enough data.
