Sooooo, not being able to talk to most of the train that day sucked, huh? I don't know what to think about any of that, but since we can talk to each other now, I was thinking: How about we share where we're from, and see who's from worlds like ours?

And who speaks the same languages too! An actual list be better if that ever happens again, but for now, tell us about the kind of place you're from, what makes home home to you! You got kings or dragons? Machines? Portals to other worlds? Talking sea life? You just trying to get through school?

I'll go first to give you guys an idea, but share whatever you feel like!

I don't... think I could tell anyone very much about my world, but perhaps I could talk a bit about the country I come from?

[ She looks pretty enthusiastic about the thought. ]

Or perhaps even the entire continent! I'd been doing quite a bit of traveling in the months before my arrival here so I'm certain I'm quite knowledgeable!

Ah, well... the land itself is known as Seidrfold but the place I was born is known as Aegirlind. It's a mountain region in the north and I grew up there with my teacher for quite a while. Since we were so high up, though, it was mostly just the two of us, so perhaps that's not very interesting...

[ She furrows her brow in thought for a moment, trying to come up with something more interesting than that. ]

Oh! I'm sure I could remember a few of our local legends, if you'd be interested in that?

I'd be interested in anything! [ tbh ] You can tell me some, then about your home? Did you live in a cave?

[ ....is that weird to think, he suddenly doesn't know, what does he know about mountains-- ]

Oh, yes, of course! But it wasn't a natural cave... and it was much, much larger than you might imagine! So I suppose the word you'd use would be "cavern"? It went all the way down into the very heart of the mountain and Teacher carved all of it himself. It was quite neatly done!

[blitzcheer]

Whoa! He sounds like a tough guy. How long'd he been up there? Is that normal?

I'm not quite sure... but I imagine it must've been some hundreds of years. Perhaps even thousands! He was quite old, you see.

[ NO FUCKING KIDDING ]

Thousands? [ Can anyone be that old?!

But then Tidus's surprise drops as something sinks in. ]

Don't tell me... he was super old, but looked like he was ten?

[ BECAUSE SO FAR, THEY ALWAYS DO. ]

[ She tilts her head, looking quite visibly puzzled. ]

I don't... think so? I mean, I'm not sure he looked particularly old or young, but dragons are often that way inclined...

Ohhhhh, he's a dragon? One of those? [ ohhh OHHH ] Hey you should talk to Inigo, he's all about dragons! Do you know Inigo?

Yes, he was! One of the very strongest around, in fact!

[ Apparently not that strong if she's referring to him in past tense, but eh. ]

But who's this... Inigo fellow?

[blitzcheer]

[ It's true, only the weak die. ]

Oh, Inigo! He's in Purple Team, has blue hair, this one funny eye... --oh, not like yours though.

[ Anyway. ] I'll introduce you both sometime! His world has a dragon he can pray to and make her open portals for him? Something about someone making a pact with one years ago, so now they work together. He knows more about dragons than I do.

[ The smile drops off her face. ]

A Pact?

[ Even out loud, the Significant Capitalization she appends to that is pretty audible, underlined nicely by the way she suddenly gets nice and close to the camera with a... pretty intense expression on her face. ]

Sometime is no good at all! You must introduce us as soon as possible!

Huh?

[ Whoa, did he hit on some keyword? ]

Oh, uhh.. [ Let him think, where would he find Inigo... ] I'm in the standard coach-- I'll start looking down the cars from here, and you can do the same. Just call for Inigo and tell him I mentioned him!

I'll hit the ICP if I find him first!

[ Sound like a plan, Bryn?? Let's Hunt Us An Inigo. ]

Yes! I won't settle until I've sniffed him out like a hunting dog!

[ With this... wildly terrifying proclamation out of the way, off she goes. RIP Inigo. ]

[ you know what Tidus isn't even bothered, Inigo deserves his fate whatever it is.

Tidus has no idea where he saw Inigo earlier when they were speaking, but he does decide to check out the dining car just in case. And if you're going to go that far, you might as well peek in the kitchen (and see if anyone's made any cake) just to be absolutely sure.

And what luck Tidus happens upon, a head of blue hair in his sights along with a familiar figure. Tidus can't stop himself from loudly exclaiming: ] INIGO!

[flatteries]

[ Excuse you, Tidus! Inigo deserves the fate of being found by a beautiful girl, sure, but not by your nosy ass!

Of course he has absolutely no idea what's waiting for him though. After his conversation with Tidus Inigo decided to grab something to snack, which is why he's literally caught with hiss hand in the cookie jar. And while grabbing a cookie.. or two.. or three isn't exactly criminal, perhaps his conscience is still just about guilty enough for him to shriek when his name is called out that loudly. And hit his hand on the jar while quickly trying to pull it out. Ouch. ]

Tidus?! What in Naga's name are you doing?!

[blitzcheer]

Waitwait! Stay there, stay there!

[ Too bad, Inigo, Tidus is already off looking for the kitchen ICP terminal so he can start slipping in his ticket, loudly going on: ] I'll explain in a sec!

[ doop doop pressing buttons, and getting back onto the train communications: ]

BRYN! Yo, Bryn! I found him, Inigo! He's in the cookie jar!



[ --oh wait. ] I mean the kitchen! He's eating outta the cookie jar!

[ whoops brain. ]

[ Definitely audible over the ICPs in the background: ]

Don't tell everyone!

[ Listen, he'll question what Tidus is doing more later, right now he needs to have some priorities! ]

[ No response over the ICP... but gradually, from the other end of the train is a noise I can only describe as a rampaging horse steadily approaching and then Bryn comes exploding in – did she body check the fucking door open??? IT'S POSSIBLE – looking slightly like she's about to combust. ]

Where is he?!

[blitzcheer]

[ holy mOLY what just entered the kitchen, is it real. Tidus isn't even sure if to point out Inigo for his bro's own good, but considering the chaos that just entered, Inigo's probably already made some sound of alarm to give his position away-- ]

[flatteries]

[ That... really is an entrance, alright...

And while Inigo usually makes an attempt to flirt with girls, here he is just.. going to skip on that opportunity, thanks! He's good! She's all yours, Tidus!

And by that I mean he moves at record speed to hide stand behind Tidus. Help him, bro. What is this. What hell are you bringing him. ]

What did you do?! [ It's a hissed whisper at Tidus, but since he's so confused by this situation, it's not really at whisper-volume... ]

[ And that's literally all Bryn needs as her cue to come barrelling into the room, elbowing her way past Tidus and just– grabbing right onto poor Inigo's face in both hands so she can pull herself in close and shove her grill right up in his. It's kind of awful. ]

There's something here...! Right there in your eye! It's the sign of a Pact, isn't it?!

[blitzcheer]

[ PUSHED ASIDE...DISCARDED...IN HIS OWN NETWORK POST!

Okay, maybe Bryn's being far more passionate about this than he realised. Is she grabbing Inigo's face?? What is this. ]

Whoa-whoa, I didn't say that was a pact! That's just a thing! [ Tidus will just sliiide somewhere in Inigo's view while staying behind Bryn, making faces at him with darty eyes towards Bryn which translate to INIGO DO YOU WANT ME TO HELP YOU GET HER OFF, BLINK RAPIDLY IF YOU NEED HELP. ]

[ What is this 2x combo.

No, for real, what is this? What is happening? Inigo is even more clueless as to what this is since he's lacking the context of Bryn and Tidus' conversation prior to this moment, so all he knows is that there's a girl charging at him. And grabbing his face. And oh my god, is she going to kiss him? Is that's what's happening here?!

He's fully convinced that's what's going on until this odd flower-eye girl is suddenly talking about his eye. And that's a topic he So Much doesn't want to talk about that, you know what, he'll actually take that kiss instead, thanks! No? Can't change that now? Darn. ]

I-- Wa-- [ He sputters a few half-words, unsure of what to say. His eyes nervously dart between Bryn and the corner Tidus behind her. Inigo looks so confused. ] Were you guys talking about my eyes?!
