Sooooo, not being able to talk to most of the train that day sucked, huh? I don't know what to think about any of that, but since we can talk to each other now, I was thinking: How about we share where we're from, and see who's from worlds like ours?

And who speaks the same languages too! An actual list be better if that ever happens again, but for now, tell us about the kind of place you're from, what makes home home to you! You got kings or dragons? Machines? Portals to other worlds? Talking sea life? You just trying to get through school?

I'll go first to give you guys an idea, but share whatever you feel like!

[ Even out loud, the Significant Capitalization she appends to that is pretty audible, underlined nicely by the way she suddenly gets nice and close to the camera with a... pretty intense expression on her face. ]

Sometime is no good at all! You must introduce us as soon as possible!

[ Whoa, did he hit on some keyword? ]

Oh, uhh.. [ Let him think, where would he find Inigo... ] I'm in the standard coach-- I'll start looking down the cars from here, and you can do the same. Just call for Inigo and tell him I mentioned him!

I'll hit the ICP if I find him first!

[ Sound like a plan, Bryn?? Let's Hunt Us An Inigo. ]

Yes! I won't settle until I've sniffed him out like a hunting dog!

[ With this... wildly terrifying proclamation out of the way, off she goes. RIP Inigo. ]

[ you know what Tidus isn't even bothered, Inigo deserves his fate whatever it is.

Tidus has no idea where he saw Inigo earlier when they were speaking, but he does decide to check out the dining car just in case. And if you're going to go that far, you might as well peek in the kitchen (and see if anyone's made any cake) just to be absolutely sure.

And what luck Tidus happens upon, a head of blue hair in his sights along with a familiar figure. Tidus can't stop himself from loudly exclaiming: ] INIGO!

[flatteries]

[ Excuse you, Tidus! Inigo deserves the fate of being found by a beautiful girl, sure, but not by your nosy ass!

Of course he has absolutely no idea what's waiting for him though. After his conversation with Tidus Inigo decided to grab something to snack, which is why he's literally caught with hiss hand in the cookie jar. And while grabbing a cookie.. or two.. or three isn't exactly criminal, perhaps his conscience is still just about guilty enough for him to shriek when his name is called out that loudly. And hit his hand on the jar while quickly trying to pull it out. Ouch. ]

Tidus?! What in Naga's name are you doing?!

[blitzcheer]

Waitwait! Stay there, stay there!

[ Too bad, Inigo, Tidus is already off looking for the kitchen ICP terminal so he can start slipping in his ticket, loudly going on: ] I'll explain in a sec!

[ doop doop pressing buttons, and getting back onto the train communications: ]

BRYN! Yo, Bryn! I found him, Inigo! He's in the cookie jar!



[ --oh wait. ] I mean the kitchen! He's eating outta the cookie jar!

[ whoops brain. ]

[ Definitely audible over the ICPs in the background: ]

[ Listen, he'll question what Tidus is doing more later, right now he needs to have some priorities! ]

[ No response over the ICP... but gradually, from the other end of the train is a noise I can only describe as a rampaging horse steadily approaching and then Bryn comes exploding in – did she body check the fucking door open??? IT'S POSSIBLE – looking slightly like she's about to combust. ]

Where is he?!

[ holy mOLY what just entered the kitchen, is it real. Tidus isn't even sure if to point out Inigo for his bro's own good, but considering the chaos that just entered, Inigo's probably already made some sound of alarm to give his position away-- ]

[ That... really is an entrance, alright...

And while Inigo usually makes an attempt to flirt with girls, here he is just.. going to skip on that opportunity, thanks! He's good! She's all yours, Tidus!

And by that I mean he moves at record speed to hide stand behind Tidus. Help him, bro. What is this. What hell are you bringing him. ]

What did you do?! [ It's a hissed whisper at Tidus, but since he's so confused by this situation, it's not really at whisper-volume... ]

[ And that's literally all Bryn needs as her cue to come barrelling into the room, elbowing her way past Tidus and just– grabbing right onto poor Inigo's face in both hands so she can pull herself in close and shove her grill right up in his. It's kind of awful. ]

There's something here...! Right there in your eye! It's the sign of a Pact, isn't it?!

[ PUSHED ASIDE...DISCARDED...IN HIS OWN NETWORK POST!

Okay, maybe Bryn's being far more passionate about this than he realised. Is she grabbing Inigo's face?? What is this. ]

Whoa-whoa, I didn't say that was a pact! That's just a thing! [ Tidus will just sliiide somewhere in Inigo's view while staying behind Bryn, making faces at him with darty eyes towards Bryn which translate to INIGO DO YOU WANT ME TO HELP YOU GET HER OFF, BLINK RAPIDLY IF YOU NEED HELP. ]

[ What is this 2x combo.

No, for real, what is this? What is happening? Inigo is even more clueless as to what this is since he's lacking the context of Bryn and Tidus' conversation prior to this moment, so all he knows is that there's a girl charging at him. And grabbing his face. And oh my god, is she going to kiss him? Is that's what's happening here?!

He's fully convinced that's what's going on until this odd flower-eye girl is suddenly talking about his eye. And that's a topic he So Much doesn't want to talk about that, you know what, he'll actually take that kiss instead, thanks! No? Can't change that now? Darn. ]

I-- Wa-- [ He sputters a few half-words, unsure of what to say. His eyes nervously dart between Bryn and the corner Tidus behind her. Inigo looks so confused. ] Were you guys talking about my eyes?!

No– yes– that doesn't matter! [ WHICH ONE IS IT!!! ] Anyway, your eyes aren't what's important here!

[ Impossible as it scenes, Bryn's expression grows even more intense – they're kind of nose to nose at this point so Inigo gets a nice up close view of it. Horrible! ]

He told me you knew about a dragon someone had made a Pact with! There's no point in playing the fool when I can see the proof of it right here!

[blitzcheer]

[ INIGO DARTING A LOOK AT HIM ISN'T A SIGNAL IF YOU WANT TIDUS TO POUNCE BRYN OR RUN FOR HELP. ]

Hey hey hey! [ But let him try to smooth this excitement here, his hands up and coming to the side of them, gesturing in an amicable manner. ] Inigo will answer you, right? [ no inigo you don't get a say ] Just give him some breathing room, let's back up a bit! We're startling him like this!

[ please bryn, think of the poor small inigo! he is but a boy! ]

[ IT'S NOT A SIGNAL, HE HIMSELF DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS HERE... OR WHAT'S GOING ON... ]

[ If that is what will get this terrifying girl off him! Even though he's not exactly excited to talk about his eye considering he's been desperately hoping people just.. would never remark on it here..

Maybe if he just answers quickly, she'll back off? Is that how this works? ]

Erm, y-yes, an ancient king in my world, the first Exalt, made a pact with a dragon..

[ He's just banking on the fact that hopefully they won't think too much about why Inigo has a weird pact eye when he's talking about someone else making the pact... ]

[ After a horribly long moment where it really looks like Bryn's just going to keep her death grip on his face, she finally lets him go and backs off a bit – though it seems to be less to do with either of their pleas and more to do with the look of obvious disappointment on her face. ]

That's it?

[ She sounds more than a little let down. ]

Some ancient king happened to make a Pact... not you?

[ Inigo's brain works very, very simply.

Especially now he's been released from this death grip and it's a little easier to breathe and think anything other than "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH". See, there's a girl in front of Inigo. Looking disappointed. And so Inigo's lizard brain jumps to the obvious conclusion that he has to do anything in his power to make sure this girl is no longer disappointed.

Even if it means just saying something like an idiot as if he hasn't been trying to keep it secret all this time. ]

What?! No--! I mean, it passed on to me since that person was basically my great-great-great-great-great--well, quite a few times more great-grandfather--

[ It's only then that he realises what he's saying.

And promptly shuts his mouth. ]

[ And Tidus, just as simple, was already confused once the general excitement bestowed on him via Bryn's excitement got railroaded once the vice grip on Inigo started. Now he's still confused, not realising a super duper secret just got revealed because who literally cares.

So he's just watching them both, or more so watching Bryn and any second acts on Inigo Assaults. ]

Sooo, you two can talk about pacts, right? Normally! Look! You both have something in common!

[ Oh yeah--was that what he originally wanted to do? This went a weird direction... ]

[ And with that, Bryn surges forward again and – well, this time at least she's nice(???) enough to just seize hold of his hands instead, though she's definitely still looking way too intense about it. She's just excited, okay!!! ]

Tidus told me all about it! [ no he said literally two words and Bryn immediately went absolutely apeshit. ] You absolutely must tell me more! You're the only other person I've ever met with a Pact!

[flatteries]

[ Look, it may be a relief that either the two of them don't seem to realise or care about certain implications - or maybe it's just that said implications are much more blown up in Inigo's mind than they are in reality. (It's a lot of that, actually.)

But that still doesn't mean he feels exactly at ease and comfortable with this strange intense girl holding his hands like that. A blush is creeping so far up his face... ]

Tidus.. did..? [ He shoots the other guy a Look. Bro, what did you tell her. What are you telling the chicks about him, bro? ]

Though.. erm, I'm not sure what to tell you? It's not common in my world to have a pact like that, I'm fairly sure my family are the only ones who have it.

[ Excuse you, Tidus's response to that look!!

But geez, does Tidus have to help a bro meet chicks around here? Or-- well, he's not exactly what either of them can be speaking about and could easily leave it to Bryn to ask a thousand questions (she's obviously got them), but- ]

Tell her about how you work together! Tell her about Naga-- the Dragon Gate!

[ Heedless of the very extremely obvious embarrassment on Inigo's face, Bryn hops up and down on the spot and gives his hands an excited squeeze in her own. She's too worked up with just General Energy to even think she might be acting improper right now. ]

Yes, yes, tell me all about it! I can hardly wait to hear! I don't intend to let you go until you've told me all of it!

[ And going by the grip she has on his hands, she might well mean that literally. ]

[ STILL NOT HELPING, TIDUS.

Also Inigo is slowly starting to look pained over here.. A few moments of the Bryn Grip is one thing, but now she seems stuck to him like a barnacle, his muscles are really starting to cramp up.. He's definitely shooting Tidus a 'help me' kind of look now. He feels like even giving the information she wants won't get Bryn off him! What is this girl and why is she so terrifying! ]

Ah, well, that.. doesn't seem entirely practical, but, erm..

[ He's so flustered and caught off guard by this whole situation that he can't even get himself to do any of his dumb flirting. ]

The dragon I have a pact with is called Naga-- she's also refered to as the Divine Dragon in our world. She.. erm, she saved the world from another dragon and total destruction over a thousand years ago, and she's capable of traveling through space and time..

Okay, so maybe helping Inigo figure out how to get into the topic of discussion wasn't what the guy wanted but something else?! What is so wrong! Is Inigo being suddenly bashful about talking to someone about Naga? Tidus is furrowing his bro and trying to get across the question of 'what's wrong!?!?!' and also maybe throwing out his arms at his sides and shrugging wildly.
