Sooooo, not being able to talk to most of the train that day sucked, huh? I don't know what to think about any of that, but since we can talk to each other now, I was thinking: How about we share where we're from, and see who's from worlds like ours?

And who speaks the same languages too! An actual list be better if that ever happens again, but for now, tell us about the kind of place you're from, what makes home home to you! You got kings or dragons? Machines? Portals to other worlds? Talking sea life? You just trying to get through school?

I'll go first to give you guys an idea, but share whatever you feel like!

[ Look, it may be a relief that either the two of them don't seem to realise or care about certain implications - or maybe it's just that said implications are much more blown up in Inigo's mind than they are in reality. (It's a lot of that, actually.)

But that still doesn't mean he feels exactly at ease and comfortable with this strange intense girl holding his hands like that. A blush is creeping so far up his face... ]

Tidus.. did..? [ He shoots the other guy a Look. Bro, what did you tell her. What are you telling the chicks about him, bro? ]

Though.. erm, I'm not sure what to tell you? It's not common in my world to have a pact like that, I'm fairly sure my family are the only ones who have it.

[ Excuse you, Tidus's response to that look!!

But geez, does Tidus have to help a bro meet chicks around here? Or-- well, he's not exactly what either of them can be speaking about and could easily leave it to Bryn to ask a thousand questions (she's obviously got them), but- ]

Tell her about how you work together! Tell her about Naga-- the Dragon Gate!

[ Look, see?! Ideas! ]

[ Heedless of the very extremely obvious embarrassment on Inigo's face, Bryn hops up and down on the spot and gives his hands an excited squeeze in her own. She's too worked up with just General Energy to even think she might be acting improper right now. ]

Yes, yes, tell me all about it! I can hardly wait to hear! I don't intend to let you go until you've told me all of it!

[ And going by the grip she has on his hands, she might well mean that literally. ]

[ STILL NOT HELPING, TIDUS.

Also Inigo is slowly starting to look pained over here.. A few moments of the Bryn Grip is one thing, but now she seems stuck to him like a barnacle, his muscles are really starting to cramp up.. He's definitely shooting Tidus a 'help me' kind of look now. He feels like even giving the information she wants won't get Bryn off him! What is this girl and why is she so terrifying! ]

Ah, well, that.. doesn't seem entirely practical, but, erm..

[ He's so flustered and caught off guard by this whole situation that he can't even get himself to do any of his dumb flirting. ]

The dragon I have a pact with is called Naga-- she's also refered to as the Divine Dragon in our world. She.. erm, she saved the world from another dragon and total destruction over a thousand years ago, and she's capable of traveling through space and time..

DO SOMETHING WHILE HE DISTRACTS HER, MAN. Free him! This is your fault! ]

[ why are you giving him all these conflicting looks bro!?!?!?

Okay, so maybe helping Inigo figure out how to get into the topic of discussion wasn't what the guy wanted but something else?! What is so wrong! Is Inigo being suddenly bashful about talking to someone about Naga? Tidus is furrowing his bro and trying to get across the question of 'what's wrong!?!?!' and also maybe throwing out his arms at his sides and shrugging wildly.

What do you want him to do! ]

[ As he speaks, all the excitement ebbs away from Bryn's face, like a lightbulb dimming out before dying completely. She doesn't quite scowl, but her expression turns a little sour... and perhaps most damning of all, she just drops her hold on Inigo's hands. ]

Is that it?

[ Her tone is flat and a little unenthused. ]

[ The very moment Bryn releases that hold on his hands, Inigo is scurrying over to Tidus' side as quickly as he can. He's not full on hiding behind the other guy, because that's looking a bit too uncool even for him, but he's definitely feeling a lot safer over here, thanks. At least he knows what to expect from Tidus, Bryn is just a wildcard!

Case in point: those words. Inigo genuinely doesn't understand what he could've done here. He glances over at Tidus, looking desperate, and this time actually asks out loud: ]

What am I doing wrong?! [ Why is she reacting like that! He did what she asked, right?! ]

[ Even Tidus is baffled, not that he wasn't already. He doesn't know exactly what Bryn was expecting--wasn't another person with a pact what she wanted? What's not 'oh, cool' at least about weird world-hopping gates.

What did you wanna hear about?

I just thought – perhaps – he might've been someone from my own world, for once.

[ She huffs out a sigh, sounding equal parts annoyed and disappointed. She looks for all the world like a sour-faced kid who didn't get what they wanted for Christmas. ]

I can't be blamed for making such a mistake, though, surely?

[ .. oh. That's actually kind of sad, since it's a feeling Inigo gets rather well, just wanting someone from home to be there for a slight sense of familiarity.. And despite the fact that Bryn is still scary as all hell, he does feel a little bad for her now.

Not bad enough to not stick to Tidus' side as if the other will protect him from her, though. ]

Ah.. n-no, that's.. completely alright. I'm sorry for letting you down.. [ At least it's guilt rather than fear that makes him sound a bit like a kicked puppy now. ]

[ oooohhhhhhhh.

That was a different adventure than Tidus thought it was, and, well...there was nothing any of them could do about that now. What a deflated end to it all.

...he still isn't sure how it got here though. ]

Well, you both have that in common. [ Not that it helps, and Tidus shrugs a little, his hands lifting some. ] Why don't you compare worlds anyway? You both have dragons and pacts. What if they're not so different?

You know, now, or another time.

[ He spares a look between the two. Not so bad, right?? ]

[ That gets her to perk up, though just a bit. ]

That is quite a strange coincidence, though... the details line up just a bit too closely for this to just be a coincidence though I can hardly imagine a way for it to be anything but.

[ He leans over to Tidus. Just a bit. Just enough so he can whisper to him: ]

Why is she so scary?!

[ Not that what Bryn is adding now is particularly scary, but. You know. This is just the question that has been on Inigo's mind all this time and he has to let it out before pulling back again.. And just.. carefully addressing Bryn... ]

.. well, dragon pacts could exist across several worlds.. Just because the majority of the worlds represented on the train don't have them doesn't necessarily mean it's uncommon. Maybe the train is just discriminating!

[ ...Inigo, please? Come on Inigo she's not being scary at all now, and Tidus just decides to make an unimpressed face while Inigo then goes on with his attempt at being "normal". ]

Well... what else do the two of you have? [ Sorry Inigo, but he's going to make you lose your wall between you and Bryn and walk over to where he saw Inigo with the cookies before, to grab the jar for himself. ]

If the two of you are the only people with dragon pacts, isn't it fun to think about what else you have the same? Even if they're not connected at all, it's better than nothing around here, right?

So, [ he starts for them, ] I know neither of you two have trains in your worlds... but you both have dragons. How do you get around? Do you ride something? Walk everywhere? What about magic?

[ He'll hold out the jar to make an offer to the pair, will walk over with it if they want one. Isn't he so nice! ]
