[Tony's counted up the ballots and finished up with lunch. He's still in the dining carriage looking relaxed and pleased with the news he's giving.]

Congratulations to the new Council Members!

Those voted in are Sarai, Lightning, Feanor, Manabu, Dread, and Ignis! Ash is going to be an alternate.

It's a contest from where I'm from that is notorious for overly idealistic answers to questions.

[He chuckles again.]

It's my new goal in life to see you lighten up. Let's hope wherever we stop next has some liquor.

Tony, if you're going to take one of our new counselors drinking, please don't get him as inebriated as you did my husband when you took him drinking, all right?

[Sarai's not inclined to be a party pooper, normally, but it's hard to make good decisions when you've got a hangover the size of Dread.]

[Well shit. Someone didn't know they were just joking around. He curses again and starts hurrying around the train to locate the ~~anal retentive~~ misinformed and overly proper man.]

[Ignis is headed to his cabin when he hears a bunch of noise coming from behind him. Turning he sees Tony hurrying to go..somewhere. So have a confused looking advisor.]

Is something wrong?

[When Tony gets Ignis' attention, he finally slows and gives him a little, breathy grin.]

Yes, you nut. You got that conversation all wrong.

[He's sort of flattered Tony came barreling after him and can't help but wonder why it seemed that there was an emergency just to provide clarification. So he shook his head.]

What you do on your own time with others is your own business.

[He's not sure what to say here..]

I don't see how I misunderstood, everything seemed to be perfectly clear.

[Well he didn't want Ignis concluding the wrong thing! It was.. okay, so he didn't know why this was such an emergency. It just was important, okay? Okay. Moving on..]

No, see, that's just it. I'm really good friends with both Sarai and her husband, Dread. We were just joking. I wouldn't do that to him and she wouldn't do that to him. I don't know, sometimes we just joke about stupid things, but it's not for real.

[He's already concluded the wrong thing and it made him wonder. Regardless, Tony still gets the calm, serious Ignis that he always gets.]

I wasn't judging you and you don't owe me an explanation, pleased as I may be that you were in such a rush to do so.

[But he can still call Tony out about things and there might be the slightest hint of a smile in his tone.]

[He huffs a breath and rolls his eyes at that.]

You sure? You want to rewind that video and play it again? There were some very strong judging vibes going on there.

[His 'annoyance' is only marginally covering up the humor that's just below the surface. He's highly amused and it shows.]

I simply said that it was far more information than I needed.

[He's amused that Tony didn't deny the rush thing and this was a different side of the man that Ignis was seeing. Usually their conversations were serious or informational so this is fun for him.]

Are you disputing what I said?

[He'd already been caught red handed with rushing over here, a bit of an overkill if he were being honest. So he'd rather just.. ignore that.]

I'm disputing the tone not the words. Besides, where's that nosiness I saw on the platform the other day? How can you not want to know something as juicy as an affair- not that this was a real one.

[Ignis shook his head.]

I was searching for the one you call Buttercup. If that's being nosey, than you may accuse me of such.

[Really that's what he was doing. But Tony's insistence at him wanting details of something that didn't even happen anyway? Where was the logic in that?]

What you do on your own time even if it didn't happen, is still none of my business.

[His eyebrows rose sharply, taken back by that.]

[A pause.]

Are you always this coy? Really, you do it very well.

[He nodded about Buttercup.]

She's important to you.

[But the last bit? What in the world is Tony trying to do? And suddenly Ignis feels like he should get the hell out of here. He isn't scared, just unsure though he does his best to hide it.]

I'm not being coy so much as being respectful. Besides, if this..affair didn't even take place, then what is there to inquire about?

[He was glad to leave that unexpected emotional curve ball behind. It was much more fun to watch this young man squirm]

You could inquire about the reason behind the joke, the type of relationship she and I have and perhaps the relationship I have with her husband, or anything to get to know these strange people you're now living with.

Or you could just sit there and picture it.

[Smirk.]

[Really, Tony had no intention of dropping the subject of this non existent affair thing. So Ignis sighed and listened to the ridiculous theoretical questions that he was supposed to be asking about these other people.]

I am completely fine with not picturing anything, unless somehow any of this has to do with me personally.

[Seriously this was none of his business unless someone decided to ask his advice about it. Advising he could do, but prying wasn't something he would do.]

[How was this guy so good looking and so lame at the same time? He was getting sick of people around here who couldn't indulge in some harmless flirty once in a while.

Still, no reason to give up so easily.

His gaze drifted downward and he raised an eyebrow.]
