[Well shit. Someone didn't know they were just joking around. He curses again and starts hurrying around the train to locate the ~~anal retentive~~ misinformed and overly proper man.]

[Ignis is headed to his cabin when he hears a bunch of noise coming from behind him. Turning he sees Tony hurrying to go..somewhere. So have a confused looking advisor.]

Is something wrong?

[When Tony gets Ignis' attention, he finally slows and gives him a little, breathy grin.]

Yes, you nut. You got that conversation all wrong.

[He's sort of flattered Tony came barreling after him and can't help but wonder why it seemed that there was an emergency just to provide clarification. So he shook his head.]

What you do on your own time with others is your own business.

[He's not sure what to say here..]

[Well he didn't want Ignis concluding the wrong thing! It was.. okay, so he didn't know why this was such an emergency. It just was important, okay? Okay. Moving on..]

No, see, that's just it. I'm really good friends with both Sarai and her husband, Dread. We were just joking. I wouldn't do that to him and she wouldn't do that to him. I don't know, sometimes we just joke about stupid things, but it's not for real.

[He's already concluded the wrong thing and it made him wonder. Regardless, Tony still gets the calm, serious Ignis that he always gets.]

[He huffs a breath and rolls his eyes at that.]

[His 'annoyance' is only marginally covering up the humor that's just below the surface. He's highly amused and it shows.]

[But the last bit? What in the world is Tony trying to do? And suddenly Ignis feels like he should get the hell out of here. He isn't scared, just unsure though he does his best to hide it.]

[He was glad to leave that unexpected emotional curve ball behind. It was much more fun to watch this young man squirm]

You could inquire about the reason behind the joke, the type of relationship she and I have and perhaps the relationship I have with her husband, or anything to get to know these strange people you're now living with.

[Really, Tony had no intention of dropping the subject of this non existent affair thing. So Ignis sighed and listened to the ridiculous theoretical questions that he was supposed to be asking about these other people.]

I am completely fine with not picturing anything, unless somehow any of this has to do with me personally.

[Seriously this was none of his business unless someone decided to ask his advice about it. Advising he could do, but prying wasn't something he would do.]

[How was this guy so good looking and so lame at the same time? He was getting sick of people around here who couldn't indulge in some harmless flirty once in a while.

His gaze drifted downward and he raised an eyebrow.]

[And now he's leaving. Ignis had almost suggested that if Tony had something of substance to talk about that would be fine. But the advisor feared that would just bait the hurricane into more pointless flirting.]

[He wasn't sure what Tony was doing, reaching out to him like that. This gesture only served to add to the confusion the advisor was already experiencing. Ignis wasn't sure what to do, especially when the other put his hands up and backed off. On top of all of this, why had Tony rushed to catch up to him? Surely the nonsense could've waited for another day. Somehow though, the other walking away wouldn't bode well for future run ins. So he put his professional face back on but his tone was lowered and he stayed where he was.]

I accept your apology, and I thank you for coming to find me.

[Tony glances back at that very formal acceptance of his apology.

He was so weird! He felt he could really use a drink after that strange interaction. Not only that but he heard that 'don't flirt with me' pretty strongly. He would have to take some time to reflect on how similar in personality he was to Captain.. and how painful that was.

Either way, he didn't know what to say or respond to that, so he just left. It wasn't like he hadn't had his advances rejected before, but had that really been what he was doing? He didn't know. Maybe he'd just been cooped up in this place too long.]

[Ignis is still thoughtful, so he decided to go sneak back into the dining carriage later though it wasn't his team's rotation. He wanted to cook and feel useful because he didn't have the answers that he needed. Knowing he wouldn't get them on his own anyway, sitting around drowning in ambiguity wasn't going to help either.

He'd thought of practicing with his daggers but that wasn't going to work either and he knew it. The advisor tried to sit in the cabin too and it hadn't worked. Once in the dining carriage he spotted a familiar dark head of hair and stopped, hesitating. It looked like Tony was drinking something and Ignis wasn't sure what to do at first.

His first thought had been to turn away, but again the advisor had his stubborn streak and he wan't going to be the one to walk away. So without a word, Ignis passed by but lightly clapped a hand on Tony's shoulder briefly instead of sitting down or talking.]
