Audio; late day 16
[That sure is a tired sounding voice.]
Should anyone be hungry, there is a pot of bacon and vegetable stew in the kitchen courtesy of red team's assignment, have at it. Be advised it contains things, so if you are allergic to things, don't eat it.
[investigating the kitchen will indeed find a stew. Hearty, tasty enough and far more veg than bacon.]

[ Nevertheless- ]
Thanks. Sounds like a few things went into it.
[ things ]

[Many things went into it!]
Quite a few. Delicious things. Less meat than some might prefer perhaps. But plenty of other things.
[THINGS.]

[ He's joking. Maybe. Yes, but also. ]

At least two. How are you enjoying the afterlife?
no subject
Wh-what-- [ oh, shit, right! ]
About that-- forget all that! I said some stupid things back then.
[ Like the guy being from his past and...probably some other things... ]

[fandaniel still isn't comvinced ot wasn't some shard or other. Tidus knew what chocobos were!]

[ But with that, he'll give a quick 'see ya', and make his way over to the kitchen car, suspecting to see a somewhat familiar sight of a man.
And some stew!! ]

[There's a pause. A lengthy one. When he speaks again, he sounds wearier yet.]
Have you ever realized only long after there's an opportunity to do anything about it, that something you had made would have gone gloriously with cheddar?
no subject
[ Must. Not. Laugh. ]
No? I am not the main cook in the family though, that would be Feanaro.

[Glumly:]
And now I have regrets. And an inability to actually sleep. I don't much like sleeping, losing eight hours just to hallucinate vividly and be unable to move the entire time really isn't my idea of a good time, but it is required for healthiness. And now my dreams will be plagued with the certainty I should have added cheese.

[ Oh no, oh no, Fandaniel is suddenly acting like one of her sons after one of their projects went wrong, and Nerdanel has to suppress the urge to giggle ]
Ah, I see. I suppose it would not help if I offered to see if I cold ease your sleep?

So far chamomile and spellcraft have done nothing. What do you intend?

[Investigating the kitchen, go!]

[And foisting soup upon the unsuspec-- well no, Glorfindel obviously expects soup, as that's entirely the purpose of Fandaniel's announcement.
So he busies himself procuring another bowl and a spoon. Might as well save the stranger some time!
Honestly there's nothing unusual in the kitchen when Glorfindel arrives, beyond Fandaniel himself. The kitchen smells pleasantly of vegetable soup, with a touch of smoky bacon overtones.]

He gave the other a brief elven bow. "I am Glorfindel. Thank you for the soup."
no subject
It is immediately obvious to Fandaniel that Glorfindel is in fact, glowing. Shining a bit, really, and in spite of being a creature of utter darkness himself, he doesn't recoil and hiss and other such things. No, this is interesting, and the ascian pauses his soup-stir to study the elf with obvious interest, eyes narrowing a bit. Not a mortal either, another bonus - rather like Nerdanel, were they the same species?
After a long moment, he offers an empty bowl, so Glorfindel might take as much as he pleases. "Are you producing that light deliberately, or is it ... unconscious?"
Fandaniel is not overly keen on excessive light, but he can detect none of the obvious signs of tempering via Hydaelyn, or excessive build-up of stagnant magic, this might be a genuine natural thing!
... Like a person-shaped glow worm!
no subject
He laughed. "Few ask me that. Most just point out the fact as though I might be unaware." He looked down at himself. "It is deliberate. If it bothers your eyes, I can tone it down." Drizzt may not be the only one sensitive to light, he tried to be cognizant of that.
He got a bowlful of soup and dipped the spoon in to taste it. "Mm, that is quite good. You can taste the care that went into it. Did you grow the vegetables yourself?"
no subject
After a moment of weighing this, he waves a hand with a dry laugh. "No. I might vastly prefer the dark, but the light too has its place, and you would needs be much brighter to be a problem. It's ... interesting!" Not something he's encountered, and thus it must be tampered with. "Though I admit I have a bit of wonder about it.."
And how much that light can resist by way of shadow. It might have to be tested! "I did! But perhaps not in the way you are thinking." He made them. Literally. Fandaniel glances at the pot, bemused. "Most of it, at any rate. I found the variety the train provides to be somewhat ... lacking."
