[ Also, wait, he has no idea what they're up to? Does Zetta even ever come out of the car he's claimed? Is he practically living as a shut-in?!

Okay, wait, Inigo can't let his thoughts drift off like that. He's got to stick to what's important right now! ]

Why would a dead person need to be raised if no one died?! [ Does Zetta just randomly have someone's ashes from back home lying around otherwise? That's just as disturbing. ]

[Even he could make that logical leap, and he's Zetta!]

[ You may be overestimating Inigo's capabilities over here.

I think I would know if I met a ghost. [They aren't subtle about it, in Zetta's surprisingly extensive experience.] I assume she's sensibly hiding from someone as badass as I am.

I.. don't think that's it. [ Please, Inigo, don't even try to question Zetta when he claims he's badass.. That's a hole you don't want to go down in. Do you want him to start calling you out all over again? ]

But now you've gotten me curious though! Who else is dead here? And if they aren't a ghost, then what are they?

It's Romeo, and it's... uh, really complicated if you haven't been where we've been.

[flatteries]

Romeo? He's one of those kids from the blue team, right?

[ Apparently the 'really complicated' part is about right, since Inigo frowns in thought. He's wondering if it'd be rude to say 'but he doesn't look dead'.. it probably would be, right.. ]

.. Try me. I can do complicated. And in return I can try to help out with what you are planning for him if you need some help! He seems like a sweet kid.

Okay. So in another universe entirely, probably, there's a place called the Far Shore which passes for the Celestia of that world. A bunch of us started showing up there. Half of us became gods and half of us were dead servants to gods. Romeo's the latter.

[ He's kind of tempted to ask what 'Celestia' is supposed to be, but judging by the context.. he means the afterlife? It's kind of wild that the train just pulls in people even straight from the afterlife.. ]

Okay, I think I understand that. But would he even be able to return to that place later on if he was alive again?

...Who cares about him going back? [Why did that even come up?]

[ Inigo blinks, confused. ]

Aren't we all going back home at some point?

How should I know? But that's not home anyway, that's just another place we all ended up before we all ended up here.

[ .. But wait, if Romeo and Zetta would go home, would they go back to that place, or back to their original homes? Or..

This is just giving him a headache. Inigo tries to shrug off the thought the best he can. ]

Alright, let's put that aside then. I suppose the details don't matter much as long as he'll be alright in the end. He seems like a sweet kid.

Right! And his god Elfnein can't grow up and leave him behind. That would be inexcusable!

[ There's a small pause at the mention of the word 'god', but.. you know what? Inigo is just going to turn off his brain here and not question any of it anymore. It'd just get too confusing.

But turning his brain off also means Inigo is going to blurt out the first dumb thing that comes to mind. For example: ]

.. you know, I did not imagine you had this kind of sweet side to you.

[Zetta falls out of frame. A 'whump' is the only indication that he's gone completely catatonic for a moment.]

[But only a moment. He shoots back up, way too close to the ICP.] SWEET HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! You don't get it at all! Look, Elfnein is gonna grow up to be a stone-cold fox and it would be completely wrong for her to hook up with someone NOT Romeo, that's all!

[ Believe it or not, for a moment Inigo is actually worried when Zetta slides out of frame like that. Is he okay?! What just happened?! But then he returns again to yell, and while that does elicit a surprised yelp from Inigo, at least he's glad Zetta seems to be just fine.

More or less, anyway. ]

But.. that's a sweet concern, isn't it? You clearly care about the future fate of your friends!

[ Yes. He said friends. ]

THEY'RE NOT FRIENDS!

[Quite possibly, Inigo will hear Zetta's actual voice faintly in the distance.]

They're useful allies with vast potential for evil!

Wait, we are talking about the same people here, right? I'm fairly sure that Romeo kid doesn't have a single evil bone in his body. I'm pretty sure I have more evil in me than that, and that's saying something. [ So that can't be it. Zetta is probably just like Gerome, Inigo figures. The type who'd rather die than admit to the faintest friendship. ]

...Yeah, he's a serious long-term project. They both are. I've been slowly coaxing them to the path of evil for a long time now.

[Zetta refuses to acknowledge he hasn't been successful in the slightest, and that even given the difficulty he hasn't been trying very hard.]

[ Yes, he's teasing.. Look, he doesn't get to do this often, let the boy enjoy the moment. ]

It sure has to be tough taking care of future allies in evil!

Damn straight it is. Especially when they're do-gooding kids. I feel like I'm fricking Mark Summers over here, except no one takes the dares!

He gives up quickly on trying to figure it out though. ]

Well, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but most of the kids here are of the do-gooding variety.

[ Inigo included. He just doesn't see himself as a kid. ]

I think you might just have ended up in ths wrong place for that kind of thing.

And that's my fault how? [He never asked for this! Stupid heaven! Stupid train! All he wants is to just get his damn body and Netherworld back! Why is that such a pain?] But I'm not one to quit just because the going's difficult!

[ Judging by Inigo's tone, he doesn't have too much faith in it.. He's mostly just amused. ]

When Elfnein and Romeo become tyrants of the cosmos, you'll know who to thank!

I, for one, welcome those new tyrants. [ Because the idea of cute kids ruling over the entire cosmos is just hilarious. ]

You can almost hear the gears in Inigo's brain doing overtime as he tries to figure out exactly that.. ]
