[Her voice might sound a little tired, but it's nothing to be concerned about. Especially because she sounds fine other than that.]

I suppose since I've had the time to finally settle in somewhat and to figure out what is going on here, that I ought to offer my services. Or, well, my knowledge as the materials and methods to what I can and cannot do are a little difficult to get a hold of.

The first, and perhaps the more useful of the two, is that where I am from I was from a clan that was known for their sealing abilities. When I say sealing, I mean just that. Whether it be a method to have a scroll summon someone or store items to sealing rather... difficult creatures into vessels, it can be done. Though whether it can be done depends on a few factors. I suspect here, the most we would be doing would be summoning and sealing weaponry into potentially easier to carry vectors.

[She pauses for a moment, taking a slow deep breath.]

The other is that I have something of, I suppose a gift? from my time being the vessel of a particular creature of which is no longer with me, where I can sense negative emotions. This has proven... rather useful in diplomatic matters and, I suspect, there might be some use here. Whether it be things on the train or with the knowledge of this Ministry, should we need to speak to them again. I have yet to discover any sort of detriment or way to fake said sense, so I figure it rather... well, foolproof.

... Literally the demons that were sealed were all some kind of animal or insect and were sealed because they were causing some kind of actual destruction and threatening people. The only way humanoids, of any manner, are involved in seals, is if it's a teleporting seal.

Animal and insectoid demons are people too! Even King Drake the Third doesn't deserve to be sealed just because he's a big cat person, and if you knew him you'd admit that was saying something.

...besides, destruction and chaos are kind of demon things. Next you're gonna tell me you lock your dog in a scroll because it barks at the mailman! Or bind your bathmat up in a thousand years of duress because it got wet after you showered and stepped on it!

[Look, as post-traumatic stress disorder goes, this is probably the best result anyone could hope for after the most badass freaking Overlord in the entire cosmos got trapped in a book for a couple years. And frequently shelved. ON THIS VERY TRAIN NO LESS!]

Please do tell me what the alternative was to stopping a rampaging demon being controlled by a traitorous villain that was en route to destroying my home, my people, my family. I suppose, in theory, they could have been killed. But instead I sacrificed my own wellbeing in order to calm it down and keep it contained so it wouldn't happen again. As was the job of my successor and of the one after her.

There was no freeing it from that control, given the method that was involved. And, no, I was not about to continue to let it rampage and destroy everything around us. [She shouldn't be getting this defensive about it and she knows it, but there's something about being told that wasn't the right option that gets right underneath her skin.]

I had enough problems keeping it asleep for the years that I did. From keeping it from escaping at my most vulnerable. Listening to the constant threats to destroy me. I have absolutely no pity for that monster. [It's probably good that she doesn't know the full extent of Naruto's friendship with it, oops.]

Oh yeah, Magog forbid the imprisoned demon try to escape. Also, threats are pretty much par for the course. Someone who's listening in give an estimate of how many threats I've tossed at you, the train, the people on this train, the Prinnies, the people responsible for us being here, the garden car, my own minions, the Prinnies, the library, and that one washing machine that overflowed and doused me in suds that one time.

Look, no offense, but that demon was barely fit to lick the boots that my boots wear, so the whole power thing isn't much of an argument. Plus, seriously, you guys had an enemy like that and you just imprisoned the demon? That's like locking up a mugger's knife, except the knife is sentient and just got roped into the thing.

Hey love. Has it occurred to you that this is another case of same name, different creature? Like the 'demons' before? Like how we're both 'gods' but that means very different things for us both?

No sentient creature should be trapped for eternity but sometimes imprisonment is all that can be done for a functionally immortal being.

You're not wrong. It is a double standard but it's one people engage in all the time. At some point, the harm someone is doing is outweighing their personal freedoms. Kronos was dangerous in my world and was imprisoned in Tartarus for over a thousand years now. If he were released, he would terrorize everyone all over again.

He can't be killed. Gods can't be killed but they can go wrong and sour and destructive. Sometimes all one can do is keep them from hurting others and themselves.

I know it's very personal because you were trapped in a book for a long long time. You don't want that to happen to another being. But it's not happening to another being.

Funny thing about that. When I got sealed into a book, it also destroyed everything I cared about! I may have my body back, but not my Netherworld, or my castle.
