[The video opens with a very somber-looking WangJi. Even more so than he normally looked for those who were actually able to tell. Even from the angle of the video, a very obvious pair of white ears from a rabbit kept bouncing into frame for a moment as WangJi made the post while holding Little Radish]

For those that knew him, Wei Ying... my husband... is no longer on the train. There are others still here, but he has departed the train.

[It was as simple as that.

For those that wish to find him, he can - predictably - be found in the Greenhouse with his two rabbits, Little Radish now snuggled in his arms and being a good comfort bunny while Little Carrot played with a random leaf that had been on the ground]

There was a time where you for a short period. Perhaps the train will allow you to have that time with her. Will allow it to all those who are missing someone.

[He knew the train was a fickle thing and didn't consider human emotions as far as he could tell, but it was far more comforting than to say that it didn't matter]

You're the only one I've spoken with so far who's said I've been here before.

[The others might not have been around as long, or he just hasn't talked to everyone on the subject. Had he been able to spend time with his sister then? It seems silly to be jealous of oneself, but he can't entirely shake the feeling. To know that the ability to see her again is there but for whatever reason he doesn't get to see it happen is painful.]

Even just a few minutes would be nice... but I would miss her even more afterward. We'll... just have to keep asking. I'm sorry I haven't been very helpful, Second Master Lan.

[Well that's a bit depressing to hear too. How many others had been here before, he wonders. This doesn't feel like a good time to be asking Lan Wangji such a question, seeing as he's just lost the one who was closest to him aside from his brother.]

[Doubtful. The other man is very capable and not the sort of person who would seek a shoulder to cry on, but he makes the offer all the same.]

[He was quiet for a moment, petting his rabbit as Little Radish squirmed a moment trying to get comfortable. One the rabbit was more stable again, he spoke again]

We could share some tea.

[Wen Ning smiles, not having expected Lan Wangji to actually take him up on the request. He'll gladly do it, though. Same world or not, this is still some version of the man Wei Wuxian cares for the most.]

Would you like to meet in the kitchen now? I can bring the rabbits.

...Do you think bringing rabbits near the kitchen would be the best idea?

[He shouldn't question Lan Wangji's decisions, but he does want to exercise caution on behalf of the animals.]

I-it's alright. It can just be the two of us.

I have brought them before.

[WangJi had thought of that too, but they seemed to behave themselves. If they started to not behave, he would have left them behind. Since Wen Ning would likely be more comfortable without worrying about the rabbits there, he said]

I will leave them so we can be sure they won't get into anything.

[Wen Ning is more worried about them somehow ending up in a stew pot, but then maybe that isn't a concern on this train. No matter whether or not people enjoy what's on the menu at any given time, they probably aren't likely to steal someone's pets to make dinner.]

I-I mean, if you want to bring them and you're sure it's safe...!

You should bring them if you want. I'm sorry. They're probably a comforting presence.

[No one was going to put them in a stew when WangJi was there. He never let them be alone in the kitchen... or anywhere on the ship aside from his cabin and the greenhouse]

I will bring Little Radish. He is well-behaved. I will be there shortly.

[Sizhui had told Wen Ning about the cutely named rabbits but it's completely different hearing the names out of Lan Wangji's mouth. It's so strange and endearing.]

[Yep, rabbits with cute names given by Sizhui. Of course, WangJi was going to keep calling them that. Radish and Carrot were the perfect names for them]

I will be there shortly.

[It didn't take long for him to get there though he had had to catch Little Carrot and put him back in the hutch to ensure that he didn't wander while WangJi was gone. But with the rabbit safe and happy with his leaf, WangJi was able to head to the kitchen with Little Radish. When he arrived, he stepped inside, looking to see if Wen Ning had arrived yet]

[Wen Ning is there, as he'd been able to go straight over. He stands up from where he'd been sitting and waves cheerfully to the other man. Seeing the rabbit only made his smile brighten.

He knows it isn't the happiest of times for Lan Wangji, but it's not going to help either of them if they drink their tea gloomily.]

Second Master Lan!

[He follows up with a bow.]

[Little Radish was a good traveling companion. He didn't object to being carried so he was completely still in WangJi's arms as he carried him in]

Wen Qionglin.

[He gave a slight nod in greeting and set Little Radish down on the table. The rabbit hopped over so he could look at the other person and sat up on his hind legs. Hello, person]

[It's still strange to hear his courtesy name from someone other than Wei Wuxian. Very few people use it. It stopped bothering him some time ago.]

Of course! You're a friend and... it's good to relax with friends.

[Especially if that friend is going through hard times. Wen Ning smiles at the little rabbit, glad that it's behaved enough not to immediately jump off the table.]

... He's very cute.

Little Radish looked up at him, nose wiggling as he sniffed in his general direction before dropping down and rubbing at his ears as though washing them]

[Something about Lan Wangji telling him he can pet the rabbit sounds very funny to Wen Ning, and he has to bite back laughing around his smile. That might be seen as rude.]

He is very pet-worthy, for sure.

[He reaches out hesitantly to gently touch the head of that cute little ball of fluff.]

[He had wanted to make sure that Wen Ning knew that he could pet the rabbit since he was sometimes unsure about things]

He is.

[Little Radish is good with pets and in fact looks like a very happy rabbit as Wen Ning pet him. Yes, petting rabbit is good]

I'm glad that you get to have them here. I-it seems like they would be good company.

[He's sure Lan Wangji would prefer to have the company of Wei Wuxian, of course, but it does help to have something. And he knows the man must do a very good job of taking care of them.

Wen Ning scratches gently behind the rabbit's ears.]

He's well behaved, too. Does he know all the Lan rules?

Indeed. Little Radish is better behaved than Little Carrot. Not that he is bad, but Little Carrot has more energy.

[Little Radish had been his comfort rabbit once before when WuXian was gone. The white rabbit was doing it again this time.

I'm sure that he does know some. I have recited them around him before.

[Wen Ning gives the rabbit a little boop on the nose with one finger.]

You're a Lan now, little rabbit. Make sure you listen well.

[Thinking back on the rules now, there's a surprising amount that this tiny creature would actually be capable of breaking.]

[Little Radish wrinkled his nose, looking up at Wen Ning as he poked him. Yep, he was definitely a Lan bunny. So many things to remember]

He listens very well. I don't know that he'll be able to copy the rules well.

[A little joke there. But yes, surprisingly they could break a number of the rules without even knowing it]

I'm sure calligraphy is difficult with those tiny paws.

[The little joke isn't lost on Wen Ning, and he's pleased that Lan Wangji feels comfortable enough with him to say it.]

Just repeat them in your head every day! [He addresses the rabbit again, grin only widening.]

It is. I don't know that it would be very legible.

[Little Radish sat up as Wen Ning said that to him. He looked around, bobbing a little as he did. Kind of looked like he was bowing. It was rather cute, WangJi thought]
