[Video]---Everywhere--OTA

[The screen of the ICP shows a figure with a deep cowl in a blue, and hints of the VT-uniform in purple under the voluminous cloak. The top of the cowl means the upper half of the person's face is in shadow, and the rest of their features are pale.]

Um...hi.

[It's a female's voice, lower and calm--not quite deadpan.]

So, I came on board recently, and my name is Raven. I'm on the purple team.

[Awkward introduction is awkward, but none of that should be showing through in her manner.]

I've met some of you already.

[There's a pause and a slow blink, and now the awkwardness is showing somewhat.]

I'm speaking out though, because of the aftermath of the inspections. I'm an Empath--I sense emotions basically. I've been trained since I was very young though in my control over it, and I respect privacy a lot. Mostly because I'd want mine respected.

But I can also project my empathy--which is why I'm speaking up. If you're feeling overwhelmed or panicky and it's left over from the void-particles or whatever, if you want I can help you calm down.

[There's a shrug, and the awkwardness is definitely there now. If anyone has questions, now is a good time to ask them.]

Do you mean the ticket-inspectors? I...don't know. It's true that I did feel better once they were around--and given how they interacted with me I don't necessarily think they were actively responsible for the dread and fear. But I'm also not sure that they weren't either.

I did be wanting to be fighting them, because mister Stark did be fighting them. But then they did be telling me to no be fighting them and I did no even be wanting to anymore. [She doesn't like saying it outloud, admitting that she hadn't been able to fight when she was needed.

But it wasn't like it was a secret, it had happened in front of all her roommates.]

Some how I'm not surprised...

[About Mr. Stark, not about this other girl wanting to fight them. Raven wasn't going to underestimate her just because she seemed younger.]

If they're used to having to deal with whatever it is that was causing the dread and paranoia, then it makes sense that the Inspectors would know how to counter it. I doubt they want people attacking them when they're trying to do their jobs.

[No judgement on the admission either.]

Are you still feeling any of it?

[She scowled at that, this girl didn't even know her. How could she not be surprised that she had given up the fight?

She said nothing though, just scowled through the screen. This Raven didn't think they were the ones who caused the dread and were just doing their jobs. That might be the case. But it was still stupid.]

No. [A lie.] It do be being gone now. [It wasn't. She could still feel the fear, hear erie music. She had even thought she'd seen something, some one watching her from the void. But she's not about to admit it to a stranger, especially one who clearly thought her weak already.]

[The scowl was met with a blink, Raven wondering what had prompted that? Her comment about the inspectors? Or her other comment and the sarcasm...]

If it does come back, please come to me. It was...hard for me too--I actually fled from my cabin. Feeling everyone else's fear on top of my own, and trapped in the close quarters--I needed to get space.

Although I'm not surprised Mr. Stark attacked them. He doesn't seem the type to sit quietly, so I'm only somewhat surprised he didn't drive you to distraction enough to attack him first.

How did you be getting out? Our cabin did be being locked. [Her grumpiness is overridden by curiosity.

Suspicion creeps back in at the last comment though.] I would no be attacking mister Stark. [That would be a sure way to a world full of pain.]

[There's another blink, before Raven sighs to herself. The girl was probably thinking more literally than Raven meant, at least about Mr. Stark.]

...I can phase through the inner walls. Not outside of the train though, and not into the engineer's car.

[She had tried.]

I don't think you'd actually attack Mr. Stark. I think he's a good man. But he also doesn't seem to be the kind who does well at waiting, or doing nothing. One of my team-mates is like that, and while I would never hurt him for real, sometimes when he's being fidgety and distracting that way, I kind of wish I could chuck something at him. Usually if I do, it's a pillow.

THAT is what I meant. Not that you'd actually attack Mr. Stark.

[And at no point had Raven sounded like she thought the other couldn't. Just that she wouldn't.]

Oh I do be seeing. [Raven was a magic user. That had already been obvious by the fact she could change emotions but not all magic users could phase through walls. She didn't think priestess Elena could.]

Oh I do be understanding. I do be wanting to be shaking Peter all the time but I would no actually be hurting him.

[Because if she did Tony would bring her a world of pain. But she doesn't say that. Also most the time she doesn't actually want to hurt Peter, he's just frustrating. Often. But he's also nice.

It's complicated and stupid.] Mister Stark did no be liking the metal monsters at all.

[Raven wasn't quite sure what to make of the first statement--did that mean the other girl understood, or did she actually want to see it? Raven wasn't inclined to just for show.

But she was glad that the other message had gotten through, and while she'd had a little interaction with Peter, it wasn't unimaginable that he could be fidgety too.]

I don't think any of us liked them. I didn't exactly like them. But since I didn't fight them or anything, beyond that I had fled, they didn't seem to be overtly hostile. When I explained why I fled, they...actually seemed to understand. At least the ones who came to get me.

My cabin was apparently the last to be inspected, and while my room-mates aren't bad people, the waiting and tension and everything got to me. So I left, and went to one of the quiet cabins.

[It was very strange. But she nodded as Raven explained about fleeing her cabin. She can't exactly blame her, after all the fear was stupid. She had felt it too.]

Mine did be being one of the first, so we did be waiting for a bit afterwards. But they did... They did no be fighting back. When mister Stark did be attacking them they did just be changing our feelings. They did no be hitting him.

[She wants to believe they had been monsters. But really, as stupid as their feeling changing magic was they hadn't exactly acted like monsters.]

We'd have to ask others, but again---that's why I think they were just doing their job. Why they could make us all fear though, is a very good question.

Is Mr. Stark alright? Are you sure you're alright too, miss?

I do be thinking so. He do just be being angry. I do no be thinking he did be liking being trapped and he had been leaving his ticket in another cabin though I do no be knowing why he did be being there.

[He often left at night as well, but she usually knew where he was. Often his lab. She had had no idea where he had been last night, until he had said he had left his ticket in the cabin next door.]

Somehow that doesn't surprise me, and I was definitely not happy about them locking us in. Apparently it's standard procedure, and 'safest' for us to be there, from what they told me.

That do be being stupid procedure. [She wrinkled her nose.]

Do you be thinking they did be having a train too?

I don't know if they have a train or some other means of transportation. I agree with you about it being a stupid procedure though.

[Little One can't see it, but Raven might just be smiling slightly to herself in agreement with the other.]

Maybe we should have been asking them that. But they might no have answered. [She sighed.]

They did be bringing a lot of questions.

[Raven blinked, trying to parse that latter statement.]

Do you mean they're making us have a lot of questions? Because I agree. Depending on what we asked, they might have answered.

Yes. We do be having more questions now. [She nodded again. They had indeed answered the questions Eva had asked in their cabin. It was just that with every question they had answered they had made more questions.]

They did be answering. But no all the questions. So now we do be having more.
