[It's a female's voice, lower and calm--not quite deadpan.]

So, I came on board recently, and my name is Raven. I'm on the purple team.

[Awkward introduction is awkward, but none of that should be showing through in her manner.]

I've met some of you already.

[There's a pause and a slow blink, and now the awkwardness is showing somewhat.]

I'm speaking out though, because of the aftermath of the inspections. I'm an Empath--I sense emotions basically. I've been trained since I was very young though in my control over it, and I respect privacy a lot. Mostly because I'd want mine respected.

But I can also project my empathy--which is why I'm speaking up. If you're feeling overwhelmed or panicky and it's left over from the void-particles or whatever, if you want I can help you calm down.

[There's a shrug, and the awkwardness is definitely there now. If anyone has questions, now is a good time to ask them.]

Sorry Raven, I had intended to check on you earlier than this.

[He'd been a bit distracted though.]

I was experiencing issues with that but it seems to have passed now. Are you alright?

I'm better, now that I'm not locked in an enclosed space, and most of us are calmer.

[There might be a hint of sardonic smile.]

Believe me, Mr. Stark--I'm used to having to work on my own, or with a small group, in dangerous situations.

[Aka she's not used to being 'checked on'.]

Are you sure you're alright now?

Yeah, that was... disturbing.

[He sighed.]

Yeah well, you're on my train now so you'll have to put up with not being on your own as much.

[The question does have him sighing and looking a little like he just might be lying.]

I'm fine. Thanks. Everyone in your room okay?

[She's fine if she's capable of snarking back at him.]

Besides, if it's your train--I have some serious complaints to bring up about its policies.

Yes, although I didn't mean to worry them. The inspectors didn't hurt them, or me.

[He's a terrible liar, but she's also not going to pry without a good reason. She's more likely to sic Ignis on him.]

[He snorts a laugh.]

Around here the only place you can be alone is while you're sitting on the can.

[It used to also be when taking a shower, but Ignis had changed that routine.

And he's an excellent liar! He's just.. uh.. having an off day?]

Did anyone in your room ask them questions?

I don't know, since I wasn't here when they came in. Once I returned I...did apologize, but mostly just curled up back where I'd been before. Thankfully we didn't have to wait much longer until it was all over.

[Tony gives her an odd look.]

What do you mean 'you weren't there'? Where were you?

[She might be giving a sigh of her own and huddling more in her cloak.]

I was curled up in the far corner of my bunk for about 2 hours, then started trying to phase through the wall. My watch-thing was beeping, so I took it off, and teleported to the Quiet cars. That's where the Inspectors found me.

[Tony's frown deepened. He double checks that the communication is only between their two cabins. No one else was in his so her confession were safe.]

Did you have your ticket with you? What happened when you took the watch off?

I had my ticket with me, and the watch kept beeping as far as I could tell. I'm sorry about that, besides worrying my cabin-mates. The inspectors mentioned that it's a device to keep us safe when off the Void-Train though.

Don't be sorry, I was just curious what it did. Ignis' broke while we were on a mission. If it hadn't been for me, it would've ended very badly for him. So just keep it on when we're off train.

Was it beeping before or after you took it off?

Before, as I started to leave the cabin.

[Raven was just glad that her cabin-mates hadn't been punished or suffered. At least, she hoped. Beyond worrying over her, which she could tell May had done already.]

I can phase through walls and do limited teleportation. No, I can't get in to the Engineer's car. I headed for the quiet cars, as I needed space from everyone...

That's very strange.. so it seemed to react or know that you were trying to 'phase' or was it reacting to the inspectors themselves?

To me.

The impression I have from what they told us, is these things are designed to keep us safe, and react to us. So we don't have to wear bulky space-suits and stuff. Why it would react while we're in the train is probably because we were stopped and outside forces were coming in. But we don't have enough information.

If it was reacting to you then would it matter if there were outside forces coming in? That would suggest it was reacting to your response of the perceived threat.

[He takes a few moments to think that over.]

Would you try to phase now?

Not right now, since I'm talking to you and also waiting to see who might want some help.

But ask again when I'm not busy, and I'll demonstrate. I can also teleport.

And no, I still can't get into the Engineer's car. Or outside of the train-cars when we're traveling in the void. Even if I could, I'm not sure I would while going through the void.

[Tony gives her a look. He couldn't hold it too long before one edge of his lips curled upward.]

I heard you the first time. I meant to test whether or not it would react again to your intentions to warp. I'm not interested in whether you can get in further trouble yet!

You could try warping out of the room and then back in.

I don't think it reacted to my intention to teleport. The ticket-takers seemed to indicate we need to wear them for OUR safety. It might also just have been a simple alarm of "hey, you're leaving your cabin".
