Hey, so, mission time soon. [ Tidus wears a flippant smile at that. Fun, huh? ]

Just wanted everyone to know if you need something to put your food in or drink bottle, there's spare lunchboxes and bottles going in the supplies me, Lightning, and Roland keep track over. We also got some food ready: a lot of it's bear-- real bear, not that other stuff we got last month-- but there's other meat and non-meat too. Plus, if you wanna come and help make more with some of the food we got this month, we can work on that. Make sure everyone's covered. Doesn't matter what team you are!

Speaking of, if any of the teams need any for their groups or food...masters or whatever, you take some too, alright? [ He grins and nods. ] Oh yeah- and you can talk to one of us if you need a weapon, like a sword or dagger, or just a pole to whack with. We have a couple to borrow out, but we'll want them back at the end.

Well, we'll want everything back, but you know. We don't have many, so it's best to see what the missions are first.

[ They don't have enough to lend out willy nilly. ]

Guess this is a good time to say too, [ since he's here already!, ] if you think you can make anything for supplies, like weapons or- whatever magic you have, let us know! Anyone who can help with food, healing, weapons or protection... it's all useful.

And if anyone's thinking about going hunting or collecting materials once we find out more, we have some Arms Bands that'll help for packing away. [ He raises a wrist, showing the one he's wearing now. ] We can show people how to use 'em. Then you won't be carrying anything on your back!

[ He pauses, thinking. Well.. ] That's about it... - oh!

[ His head was about to duck, but then he raises it again, looking into the camera! ]

If you wanna hop around with magic and help out on different teams when they need the extra hands, ask Spider 'bout joining Black Squad! She's cool, and she can send people wherever they're needed! And the more people helping, the easier it is she can move people around!

[He smiles. He's been using his sword in it's sheathe as a guiding tool, but he needs something longer in length due to his height]

By clunky, how long is it? You can give me the shortest one that you have. I'm in the dining car having coffee. I'm Xingchen, nice to meet you.

Good to meet'cha! I'll come on over now, just give me a minute to get there. And it shouldn't be too bad, the pole. Just-- probably not what you're used to?

But if there shouldn't be much more to say (because guess who forgets to give his name!), Tidus will indeed be about five minutes or so, positioned towards the other end of the train cars from dining. But he's keen to get the pole to the guy, so he's not lackadaisical, passing finally through into the dining carriage, and... ]

Hey! Xingchen, it's Tidus! I'm coming over.

[ Don't worry sir, he's usually this cheery and noisy. Walking over to where Xingchen sits, setting a hand for a moment on his shoulder. ]

No need to hurry, I'll wait.

[He is patient as he's used to people helping him as long as he ask. It make his life easier, which hasn't been easy. He can be found in one of the table and chairs, drinking his coffee.

His sense of hearing is good, so he turns to his direction]

Hello. Do you bring the pole?

Yeah, here- hold out your hand the side I'm on? See what you think about it. [ Tidus holds it out, and what the man will tell is that it has weight. Intentionally. Also lengthy, about five foot. ]

Lightning from Red team broke them up from a construction job on one of the planets. If it's too long we can cut it down! But if it's okay for now, we can get something better later.

I appreciate that you're coming all this way. Tidus, right? [He'll be sure to remember him] You have my thanks.

[He certainly doesn't want to be a burden, but the people on the train are so kind, so he's very touched by the thoughtful gesture.

He holds out his hands toward to him. It's a five feet pole and it does has a certain weight.]

This is fine. I needed a pole, because I was using my sword to guide around and I didn't want to accidently swing it toward to people on board even when I put inside it's sheathe.

When the mission is over, just remind me to return this back to you.

[ The confirmation for his name does get a small hum, but as Xingchen goes on, particularly at the end there- ]

Hey, no, you keep it! It's better than a sword. [ Ah- ] I know a few guys around who can make stuff. I'll see if I can borrow some of the bamboo in the garden and get you something better made.

Bamboo should make a good walking stick, right? [ He doesn't really know a lot about walking sticks, but...! ] Is there anything else you could do with?

[At that, he lightens up at the offer]

You don't have to, but...can you really do that? I don't know people here well enough, so I don't know how to ask. [But he is trying] I have only been on the train for a month now.

I didn't know this train has bamboo in the garden. But a bamboo does sound like a good idea. You can certainly make it like a walking staff out of it. I think it could be used as a weapon, but I mainly use it to feel my way around the train by tapping the floor or feel for obstacles in my way.

[blitzcheer]

Yeah, they use the bamboo for training swords in the gym. You could probably take some off the train, but I don't have anything to do with that. [ So he never even thinks about it... ] That's all... Toby, and whoever else. [ A small laugh in his voice. ] But it sounds like you don't need to worry about a blade!

[ Which- ] You can use that? Blind?

[ He really is curious; so curious as to touch on the other points. But look, this sounds cool okay, and Tidus is still a very easily impressed teen young man at heart. ]

[With a slow nod, he tries to explain the best way he can]

Mm, I'm blind. It's a long story, but it's been like this for me for many years, so I learn to adapt.

[With the pole in hand]

I'm going to practice using this pole while walking around the train and memorize the layout of the carriage. The pole will help me with that.

Cool! [ that is really really cool! ] I don't wanna get in the way, but if you want any help, you lemme know! Like if I can tell you about anything, or the stuff we have around the train?

That's the idea. I didn't want to scare people because of that. That's why I was looking for a good stick in ages.

Yes. It's the only one I have. One of a kind. It's name is shuanguas. It means frost flower.
