Hey, so, mission time soon. [ Tidus wears a flippant smile at that. Fun, huh? ]

Just wanted everyone to know if you need something to put your food in or drink bottle, there's spare lunchboxes and bottles going in the supplies me, Lightning, and Roland keep track over. We also got some food ready: a lot of it's bear-- real bear, not that other stuff we got last month-- but there's other meat and non-meat too. Plus, if you wanna come and help make more with some of the food we got this month, we can work on that. Make sure everyone's covered. Doesn't matter what team you are!

Speaking of, if any of the teams need any for their groups or food...masters or whatever, you take some too, alright? [ He grins and nods. ] Oh yeah- and you can talk to one of us if you need a weapon, like a sword or dagger, or just a pole to whack with. We have a couple to borrow out, but we'll want them back at the end.

Well, we'll want everything back, but you know. We don't have many, so it's best to see what the missions are first.

[ They don't have enough to lend out willy nilly. ]

Guess this is a good time to say too, [ since he's here already!, ] if you think you can make anything for supplies, like weapons or- whatever magic you have, let us know! Anyone who can help with food, healing, weapons or protection... it's all useful.

And if anyone's thinking about going hunting or collecting materials once we find out more, we have some Arms Bands that'll help for packing away. [ He raises a wrist, showing the one he's wearing now. ] We can show people how to use 'em. Then you won't be carrying anything on your back!

[ He pauses, thinking. Well.. ] That's about it... - oh!

[ His head was about to duck, but then he raises it again, looking into the camera! ]

If you wanna hop around with magic and help out on different teams when they need the extra hands, ask Spider 'bout joining Black Squad! She's cool, and she can send people wherever they're needed! And the more people helping, the easier it is she can move people around!

Just two longswords, nothin' fancier than that. The last planet I got them from had a weapon shortage going on too.

One or two-handed?

[ There's a small sigh. Trying not to sound irritated: ]

I'd really prefer a sabre, but apparently whatever I'd done to assist with chores during the last two weeks hadn't warranted much reward in payment.

Just one-handed, simple blade -- nothin' over the top. Gets smaller at the end, so it's easy to move around. I can show you if you want - you think you're gonna stick with Red on missions?

[ Since Reds are usually stuck fighting no matter what.

But that irritation? Ah, there's a sympathetic start as- ]

Yeahhh, chores don't really give you anything. Some people do them everyday, I know a friend of mine did. She only got a few points some months!

I tried it too, had a bet with another friend about getting as many points as possible. [ A huff. ] Didn't make any difference for either of us!

Likely. They're the fewest in number, and I don't know how many here are experienced with combat. If they need personnel to handle dangerous and violent threats, I will be there.

[ He nodded. ] And that sort of sword will suit me well. Unless there's ammunition for firearms available as well.

[ Zechs frowned. ] I see. I don't understand what we're working to be rewarded for, not at all.

I think enough of us know how to fight over the different teams. But, Red can always do with keeping people on the team - usually it's Red, Purple, and then Blue that're put in the most danger. Switches up how bad or what kind it'll be though between missions.

[ As different as all the missions get. There's a light scoff though, as they go on. ]

Me neither! You'll get the most points on the ground, or wherever a mission is, but even then, I don't have a clue what makes a person earn points more than someone else. No one's really slacking on the job - someone or something's always in danger, and even if most of us don't like the train, we aren't going to take it out on whoever needs our help.

[zechs_isonfire]

Hm. I hope people keep their comm channels open. I don't know if we'll be in close enough range to assist, but if I'm able to make it in time I will not leave someone here undefended.

[ He crossed his arm, looking thoughtful. ]

I see. I suppose I'll need to see what I'm rewarded with.

I'll take that sword, in any case, and return it to you cleaned once the mission is over.

I can't say I've any magical abilities, but I know how to fight, and keep my wits about me. So I hope I'm of use all the same.

[ A pause. ]

What does that piece of jewelry have to do with gathering supplies?

Do you know about the earpieces? If you can remind people 'bout them, they're handy! You can get them from the music car. [ Ha- ] Or we can walk around and shove them at people and tell them on the day.

[ Who doesn't mind more chaos before a leave. It's a half-hearted suggestion.

But, as for the arms band, Tidus starts off with a small laugh. ]

Right, I'll show you! They're magic: You get one on, you can make anything disappear 'til you need it! Sooo-

[ Tidus shuffles back, revealing the stool he's sitting on as he does, but more importantly, making more visible both his hands. Head tilting to think, he makes a small 'ah' sound. Lifts the hand wearing the band, and with a moment of pause--

--a blue and white ball appears in his hand, 'gold dust' spreading out where it emerges, disappearing as it falls. Tidus turns it in his hands, tipping it this way and that. ]

See this? This was in my arms band! With it, I don't need to carry anything.

[ Another pause, and -- poof! The ball is gone, again in a small puff of gold glitter.

taadaaa. ]

[ A small smirk ] Just tossing them at people is an idea, but whether they'll remember to use them is another. But, if they're available, hopefully would at least have them on hand to use in an emergency then.

[ Deployment always involved a bit of organized chaos ... and things didn't appear that well organized here, but. Zechs could be wrong about that. It seemed that this person from the purple team was trying, at least. ]

[ His eyes then widened. ]

That would be useful for storing my borrowed sword, at least. Plus medical supplies and emergency gear, if I should encounter anyone who'd need assistance.

How many of those are available?

If none of the other teams wanna borrow any? I'd say... three or four. We use 'em to store the food in and everything else since they don't go off.

But if you'll take supplies and keep an eye on people on Red, I don't mind you lending one. We have medical supplies, plus - we're worried 'bout how bad this mission'll be. For us and whoever's on the planet. You hear about the visions this morning?

[zechs_isonfire]

[ A serious nod ] Then I'll be certain to keep everyone well supplied.

[ A pause, a serious look. ] No. Visions?

[ A small nod. ]

It was early, [ so he's not surprised that Zechs missed the conversations; Tidus just happens to prefer the mornings, ] but it happens before the missions. People get them - dreams. I don't, but ... they talked about a fire breaking out, a red sky. The planet taking a beating, or being...attacked? A natural disaster? No one knows. But there was screaming. Taking place in a jungle or forest.

[ Tidus pauses. And then- ] It's not much, but... we're trying to look into ways to prepare for that. Whatever it is. People on the ground already being in danger, or danger coming.

[zechs_isonfire]

[ Zechs had likely been already working out, he didn't pay much attention to the comms after it'd mostly involved harmless chatter for ages. Clearly he shouldn't have slacked off. ]

[ He went a little still. ]

[ God, but he wished he had Epyon. Tallgeese. Even just a Leo. ]

An attack from space.

What in God's name are they going to give us, that will prevent an attack from space. We'll be useless on the ground.

[blitzcheer]

[ An attack from space? Tidus wonders if it would be that, but then - the actuality doesn't matter more than the probability. Quiet at first, but taking in what Zechs says. ]

There'll be something around if it's that. A weapon on the planet? [ That'll be a change. ] Or- we're just expected to help get the wounded, fix some things, fight off whatever's around.

Terra was like that too, sorta. Purple had to help people in an underground city that got caved in on. Gyueran was fighting day and night. It's gonna be tough, but we've made it this far.

[ A breath out. ]

Of course, we will do what we can.

It's simply frustrating to be so ill equipped for what we're sent to, but complaints serve little purpose.

[ He shook his head, and focused. He's got a few more questions, but first: ]

Anything else I should know about the Arms Band? Any limitations?

I'd say wait 'til you're on a mission out in a desert without anything to put water in on the train, but I'm tryin' to stop that happening again.

[ Wryly, but ultimately meaning, he totally gets your frustration, dude. Absolutely. ]

Think you can only carry a few weapons in there at a time, but other than that... not really? I should show you how to use it though, get the hang of it. It sounds funny, but it's really just like...imagining somewhere, anywhere, that you wanna put your stuff to.

[ So: ] I always imagine it's going into a hole behind my shoulder. Nearby...but somewhere secrete. You know?

[ He's not very imaginative. ]

Yes, that sounds ... not ideal at all.

[ A brief grimace. Who was running this thing? ]

[ Volunteers, that's who. And most of them likely weren't military. So. ]

[ He nodded. ]

A demonstration would be helpful. Thank you.

... I see, so, I simply use my imagination, and the ... magic of the Arms Band handles the rest?

[ A nod! ] Yeah, how 'bout we meet and I show you? It's not complicated. I can even show you with my own band. I'm hanging out on the second floor music carriage, if you want to.
