Video | Imagination 6, ridiculously early
How quickly the months fly, do they not? And here we are once again, with another mission and another puzzle.
We're set for a jungle, this time. Something... immediate, I think. A new problem, though no less destructive for it. One that brings a sudden blast of fire and pain to the world.
[Sighing]
If anyone cares to speculate further at this hour, I'll be making myself a cup of tea in the dining carriage. And if that doesn't work... well. We'll see if we reach that point.

[The only other thing she can think of is a warzone and she'd rather not deal with that again.]

[Closing her eyes briefly, trying to get a clearer image.]
It would make more sense than the alternative, certainly- I don't think there would be much left to save if we arrived in the aftermath.
Re: Video
Though, I'm starting to wonder if these dreams are warnings... Or visions of what happened the last time?

[Hesitating, then]
That one was so irregular, even without the issue of foresight. The second mission in a month... had that ever happened before?
[How did the train decide on what missions it undertook? What had brought it to that one, in particular
She should bring the issue up with Nita- or someone else who regularly tried to interact with the train, really.]

[A sigh.]
I'm starting to think we need to make a central location, if we haven't one already, for everything we know about the train and missions.

But that sounds like an invitation, and actually, Tidus likes being awake at this time himself. So, at the dining car- ]
Hey. [ Tidus walks into the dining car, raises a hand in greeting when he sees Zelda. And then don't mind if he goes straight for the tea machine. ] You sounded like you would've liked to stay in bed. Not a great dream to wake up to?

[She looks down at her cup for a moment, staring into the tea as though tasseography was also likely to become a means of fortune-telling on the train.]
The train brings us to dangerous places. It only stands to reason that the warnings we receive may be disturbing.
no subject
Maybe...it can take us on a mission to bring fun to a world for once? [ A light joke, not serious. But hopefully a nice addition to their drinks. ]
Was someone attacking the planet, you think?
no subject
[Despite herself, Zelda looks up and gives him a small, grateful smile]
Should the train ever ask my opinion on its decisions, I'll be sure to convey the request.
[She settles back into her seat, contemplating that possibility]
It doesn't feel like the invasion fleet, though that might not mean anything. I think... [It's very hard to put this into words] Before the destruction starts, the sky becomes bright. Too bright to be natural, I think. And the world grows silent, as though it's holding its breath.

Are you all right, madam Nerdanel?
[Falling back on courtesies in distraction]
no subject
Just Nerdanel, please. [ She manages a smile ]
I fear fire and I have a ... complicated relationship. [ to put it lightly ]
The end of the dream was... a little distressing.

More than usual?
[She inquires. Nerdanel does look a bit more shaken than usual...]

[Video] Open to Action if you are? Also am okay with Nita's roommates threadjacking. XD
Something from the sky...
I can come down there in a bit; I think I need a shower first.
[To at least try to relax her body while her mind races.]
no subject
Take your time. I need a few moments myself, anyway.
[There's a whole day to dwell on this, Nita; isn't it great?]
[Action]
The latter is less true, but that almost goes without saying at this point.]
Zelda? ... Is the tea still warm?
[She can make her own, but she may as well check.]
no subject
[The answer is quick and sure, given even without checking- magic is keeping it at exactly the right temperature.
Maybe a petty use of her powers, sure. But the longer she's on the train, the more Zelda regards these little things as reasonable.]
Please, sit down.

I think I would personally prefer a bit more information to a bit less.
[If apocalypses could find some other way to announce themselves than her dreams, though, that would be nice.]
But your spirit is appreciated, mistress.

[She tries not to think too hard of the world they failed at, the one
the train ran from screaming.]
I'm afraid I have a rather difficult time not worrying about these things. And, I confess, I would rather have more information beforehand than less.
video
Another puzzle? Do you normally do these types of announcements?
no subject
[To the extent that there's a protocol at all, perhaps it's 'whoever is unlucky enough to have the dream and wake up first makes the announcement.'
Yes, terribly rotten protocol. Perhaps they should change that.]
But these sort of messages are not uncommon at this point in the month. There are a few here who dream of the world we are approaching a day or two before we arrive. How informative it is....
[The slightest shrug.]
Prophecy is never easy to decipher. There is always something there to surprise us.

[Nike doesn't know what it is like to dream. The only dreams she has are memories connected to her rain partners. Nothing else.
So to hear someone with such an ability was a little intimidating.]
I'm glad you don't normally have these type of dreams. They don't sound soothing.
[And dreams should be soothing, right?????]
....will you be okay going to the dining cart on your own?
no subject
[ No sense in beating around the bush at that point.]
I will be fine, I assure you. All things considered, this isn't so terrible.
[A pause, considering]
But thank you. It's kind of you to offer as much.
