Uh, hello? I was wondering if anyone could help me out with something. There's something I want to make, but I couldn't find any art supplies in the game room. Does anyone know if there is anything like markers and big sheets of paper anywhere?
Also! Does anyone like playing hide and go seek? Because Guilmon wants to play, but it isn't as fun with just two people.
[Takato moves to close the message, and then pauses as one more thought occurs to him.]
I guess I had one more question. I know there are people from a lot of worlds here. So I was just wondering. Do any of your worlds have Digital Worlds?

[Video] to single carriage
The heck do you mean by 'digital world'? You mean like--a type of video game? Or, oh hey yeah, virtual reality?
[Please ignore the white fluffball that wants nothing more than to play hide and seek with someone. Reno grabs the creature before it can be fully seen on camera and tosses it (gently!) away from the ICP.
He was NOT using his Summon as a comfort tool for hugging his troubles away, do not even suggest it.]no subject
Maybe a little? But in my world, there was a world that grew out of the network. Everything there was made of data. And there were living creatures made out of data who lived there too.
[He peers a little at the video, curious about the little white creature. ]

[He's trying to figure out what the kid means. Wasn't that just what...video games and computer programs were? A whole bunch of data and code turned into a pretty picture and an interface easy to use?]
I mean, virtual reality looks pretty real. You can even get feel pain in the training simulators... Are you saying something like that grew out of control and made itself a larger world than intended?
["Grew out of the network" was his best clue. Reno wasn't sure if he was reading into the phrasing right though. What was this kid into?
As for the creature, it manages to get its nose up over the terminal again as Reno gets distracted by the conversation.]

It was made out of data, like virtual reality. But everything there, it was all real. Just as real as my world. And the digimon who lived there. They're not just programs. They're every bit as real and alive as humans are.

Yeah, okay, kid. I'm not getting it. Virtual reality just feels real, looks real, even the monsters and people are programmed to act real. Whole point of it, right?
I mean, if you had an AI and stuck it in a robot and...well, that's still a program on the inside but it's...real on the outside? I guess...
[Crap, now he's doing it. This is complicated. Way more complicated than he liked for a simple chat.]

I guess what I mean is... Digimon are programs? AI? But they're also more than that. They're alive.
[Guilmon chooses this moment to push his head within view of the camera.]
Neh, Takato, what are you doing? Is is time to go play yet?
no subject
[No way was Reno getting into that can of worms. Oh, hey now, what's this creature? Looks like a monster, sounds like a friendly beast. Weird, but he's seen weirder.]
Oh, so that's who wants to play.
[Reno doesn't shove the white fox-like creature that hops up onto the terminal as soon as Guilmon appears on screen away this time.
Though he's tempted on principle. He was trying to teach the thing to act like an obedient dog, but it wasn't going so well. Too willful a Being, not that Reno really understood that. The fox with a red jewel in its forehead sniffed at the screen.]Hey, quit it. [The admonishment is half-hearted at best. Reno's hand has already lifted up to rest on its soft fur and pet it subconsciously.] What're you anyway, yo?

Guilmon is a digimon. He's my partner and best friend.
no subject
Cute.]...that's what you're calling a digimon?
[Okay, now he got why the kid was so confusing with the explanation. That thing looked real! It couldn't have spawned from a computer program. Right?
...Oi, this multiple dimension and world thing was crazy shit.]

Uh,I'm not sure what you mean? He is a digimon?

feelingshowing sympathy, sorry. Moving right along...]Well, still weird. Hard to believe that things from a computer or made of data or whatever...
no subject
Even after all this time I still think digimon are amazing. It's hard to believe that just two years ago everyone thought they were just a card game.
[Takato frowns a little.]
But please don't call him a thing. Guilmon is my best friend.

[The only card game he's interested in is poker with real money, and he cheats.]
Yeah, yeah. Digimon creature thing whatever.
[He waves a hand flippantly, dismissively. He doesn't really seem to care. Like he wouldn't call a person a 'thing'. Yeah, he definitely would.]
