Hey, got a quick question for the magic people on the train who used books to learn! Any of you got any book titles you can share? Or know how a guy can learn to summon, get fiends or...uh, [ His voice grows quiet, but still audible. ] What should I call them?

--Youma! [ ok he's back ] Anyone who knows how to summon youma! Or any magic that's uhh... useful, but not for a fight. Anything at all!

My pal's here with me, Taiki-- he's summoned before, but he's looking to find new ways to do it--so anything you can tell us would be great! Thanks!

[That was probably better. Rather than something that relied on him having magic. Because honestly he had no idea... He could sense his king but apart from that. He didn't know.]

Learning magic with maths though... hey, are you gonna teach him to draw symbols?

That is, in fact, the whole point of wizardry! I want there to be as many wizards as possible, so that each of us can peer review each other's work and come up with new spells that never would have occurred to someone else!

"Oh." He nodded, the more people that knew something the more that could be done with it.

"Are... Are there a lot of wizards in your world?"

"A few hundred, maybe? I was the first one, though." and she is SO proud of that. Pride is practically radiating off of her.

"I discovered the fundamental principles of wizardry and started teaching them to others. Then, they started taking students of their own, and then THEY started taking MORE students and it's all just spiraling out of control in the best way possible!"

He smiled at that pride, "You must be very clever indeed to have done that." He sounds impressed as well, he might not know anything about her magic yet but to have discovered the fundamental principles and to teach others...

To have essentially created a discipline of magic. That was impressive indeed.

"Anyway nice to meet you. I'm Samata Mahto. Can I put you down as interested in some lessons?"

"It is nice to meet you Samata Mahto." He smiled at her, "Yes please, um... My name is Taiki." She might already know that, but it felt polite to exchange his name for hers.
