[ The ICP comes on, broadcasting a message to all from the Library. Two figures stand side by side, one decked in elegant custom garb; the other in utilitarian Purple, with the standard coat that comes with their gear. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Glorfindel to the left, his smile open and inviting; next to him is Roland, arms crossed against his chest, expression a bit more serious. ]



Greetings, all! For those who are new to the train, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Glorfindel, and this is a brief announcement for those on the Purple Team. And perhaps, for those who may just be interested in what we have to say, colors aside. [ There's a playful lilt at the end of his statement, but he continues with the broadcast. ] You are all cordially invited to the very first Purple Team Mixer, to be held at around Grasshopper 27 in a location to be announced, on the Train.

[ Roland nods and continues where Glorfindel left off. ]

That's right. My name is Roland for our newcomers onboard, and the purpose of this mixer is so we can get to know one another a little bit better. We've got a lot of new additions to the Team, and Glorfindel and I - [ He glances to his side. ] will be acting as two of Purple's Team Leads starting now, as well. We hope to work hard for your continued trust. [ He makes a fist with his right hand and emphasizes his point with a small pump in the air. Glorfindel dovetails after. ]

The mixer is quite simple really! Aside from mingling and gathering as one, we'd also like to discuss various topics of interest such as supplies, mission protocols, training opportunities, and how the two of us can help any one of you, in any way we can.

So it's a mixer and a Purple town hall, if you'd like to look at it from that perspective. If you have ideas on how to improve things, this is the time to come and share your thoughts. We welcome it, and we'll do our best to facilitate everything neatly and concisely so the right steps can be put into place for the betterment of all.

[ Both of them sound like they've done this before...The tone shifts slightly more pleasant now, a little more casually as Glorfindel lights up (not literally, not yet!) ]

Plus, there will be bar snacks. [ 'Bar' meaning yknow. He's trying to be subtle! There are children onboard!! ] Oh, and of course, non-alcoholic beverages too, for those who are underage or can't have alcohol! It's going to be fun, even if we'll be planning alongside the chatting!

[ Roland smiles with a side glance to his new work husband partner, and turns back to close off the broadcast. ]

Glorfindel and I are ready to be of service to the team. Purple is made up of a lot of talented folks, and with our combined efforts, I'm certain we can make our dynamic even better than it already is. We're looking forward to seeing everyone then. [ The two share a look before nodding to the ICP. ]

You can count on me to be there. But.. erm, one question-- how are we defining "underage"? People here tend to be slightly strange about it. [ HE'S AN ADULT, DANGIT. Can't surviving the zombie apocalypse and being able to marry back home give him his adult badge? This is medieval discrimination! ] Surely you guys won't be uptight about it, right?

[ Roland salutes warmly to him from the other end of the ICP. ]

I'll be happy to see you there. Thanks in advance for coming, Inigo.

[ And to that...Roland just shrugs, arms still crossed over his chest. ]

Look, I get that we all come from different worlds and dimensions so don't worry about it too much. We'll label the drinks table so no one accidentally drinks something they shouldn't. In general, just stick to the standards of your home world. We trust everyone who chooses to drink understands what they're doing. [ Though you all best believe Roland's going to be ID'ing the ones that look like kids 8| Just not...as strictly! He chuckles under his breath. ]

I see someone's getting ready to knock back a cold one. Save a toast with me, alright?

[flatteries]

[ I'll be happy to see you there... Roland, how do you know just how to warm Inigo's heart with every single word you say?

But before he can get flustered over how warm his chest feels at hearing that, or before he can get glad over Roland being less uptight about this whole drinking age deal, there's that last part that completely distracts Inigo. ]

Knock.. [ He starts, as if trying to repeat it, but then just looks confused. ] A cold one, as in.. a cold.. person..? Someone with a cold personality? But why would I want to knock them back?

[ ...He shakes his head, a chuckle under his breath. Never change, Inigo. ]

Heh. Sorry. That just means you're ready and raring to go drink. The cold is referring to a cold, uh...alcoholic beverage of your choice. [ He pauses, glancing up as an idea strikes him. ] Have you ever had beer before?

[flatteries]

[ Well, that would explain it.

The concept of a fridge or a cooler wasn't exactly invented in Inigo's time yet, after all. ]

Beer? [ At least he seems to recognize the term, though he shakes his head. ] I, erm..

[ He pauses, wondering how to phrase this in a way that doesn't make it obvious he was from a place with very little means.. ]

I've had wine. [ In a dream. But. That means it's not a lie! ] I'm very open to trying anything though if you want to drink together, Roland!

We will obviously need a selection of options then. I will work on that, as well.

[Glorfindel will try for an assortment and see what happens!]

Heh. Guess that answers the question. [ He writes that down fast; he'll see if he can't Inigo his first malt in no time. ]

That's right. Any more food or drink you'd like to see? Maybe something from your home world, a favorite snack or treat? [ He's invested! ]

[flatteries]

[ Sweet Naga, you can't just tell Inigo that you appreciate his input! At least ease him into this! It's hard - but not impossible - to catch, but a blush is definitely moving across his face for a moment before he forces it down. There's just way too much supportive energy in this conversation! ]

Ah, I'm not sure.. I'm not very picky, you see. [ Because he had to survive off anything he could find for years, but let's not get into the depressing stuff. ] I trust you two to make sure that what's present will be great to eat.

[ Relying on the old men's tastes.. You may come to regret that decisions, Inigo.. ]

All we have to bring to make it perfect is a good mood and some charm, right?

"We have someone working on music, so between that and the consumables, there will be fun to be had!" At least once Glorfindel and Roland stop talking.

"Now we just need the charm," Glorfindel said with a wink.

"And let me tell you, Inigo's got the charm by the bucketful." He smirks playfully, teasing. If he wasn't sure of what he wanted for the party, Roland now has some idea of what he can try to purchase...

"So just bring yourself and have fun. If you have ideas on party planning, or if you want to bring friends with you from other teams, you're welcome to do that too. Pressure's off, let's just enjoy ourselves where we can."

Big words, coming from Mister President himself.

[ Oh my god, you can't do this to him. Not the sudden compliments. Please, he's weak! ]

Well, I'll make sure to bring friends-- Though, you know..

[ His voice trails off as if he's realised something else. This isn't just an attempt to get the topic away from him, he swears! It's a genuine observation! ]

You two seem to be getting along rather well already!
