Council Meeting # 1!
[ooc: I thought this might be easiest for people to tag and talk. So the invitation to the dining car is going to be through the ICP, the actually discussions aren't. I'm listing a few topics as starts, but add your own if you'd like. Please indicate which conversations people should be able to threadjack and which ones they shouldn't.]
[ICP Part: OTA?]
[Mid-morning on Basoon 15, Tony appears on the ICP looking freshly showered and still in his sleeper 1C room.]
Council members, please join me in the dining car. It's time we finally got together and discussed some matters that have come up on board. Ash, that means you too.
[Council Meeting Part: Council Members Only]
[When the council members arrive, they'll find tea and coffee have been freshly made and a freshly baked coffee cake with small plates and a spatula are next to it.]
Welcome everyone! Please, get yourself some refreshments and have a seat. Since Manabu appears to be missing, I've asked Ash to join us as the alternate.
[ooc- in case anyone forgot the council members are: Tony, Feanor, Manabu, Sarai, Dread, and Lightning with Ash as the official alternate.]

[He's cracking up. Someone back him up on how funny this concept is!]

[That's the most exaggerated tired sigh Tony would ever hear. Age of the universe and all.]
Alright, spill it. What's that phone you're talking about?
[He's a linguist. He gets compound words. One part is pretty obvious, it's the other he doesn't know what to do with. And yes, he knows it's supposed to be H.I...larious. Well, he's not amused.]
no subject
[What sigh? He didn't hear or notice any sigh.]
A phone is a very common device in my world that transmits sounds between two places, allowing two people or more to talk no matter where they are physically. It sounds like you have your own version, if excessively frilly like most things you're prone to do.
[He gives the biggest, most innocent smile.]
no subject
It sounds like one indeed. Though mine weren't that common. I made just a few. [Before he got bored with the process...and no he didn't tell anyone else how to make those or, Eru forbid, left notes or something. That simply wouldn't be his style.]
Oh? Frilly, you say? [Witness one elegant eyebrow arching up, Tony. Someone here is very amused by your suggestion.] Only because I don't subscribe to the austere aesthetic you seem to prefer doesn't make what I do excessive. Or frilly.
[Excuse him but were you expecting literal elves to be anything but extra? And Fëanor is the most extra of them all. He's like the father of extra.]
no subject
That's true. The reason your things are frilly have nothing to do with my aesthetic. You're completely frilly in your own right. Like lace, silk, ribbons and bows, frilly.
[Hey, you might be the father of extra, but Tony was the king. Maker vs perfector. He leans in a little and lowers his tone.]
We better stop before someone tells us to get a room, eh?
no subject
But then ... kind of you do, so he could make an exception.]
What's wrong with lace? [He huffs, his voice dripping with mock scorn. Completely not his style and he's not saying he'd wear anything like that...but. There's always a but.] I am not surprised you would lack appreciation for the more subtle of the textile arts.
[Then he blinks and his smile just turns to a smirk, if a bit mean one.]
Oh really? And here I thought we were talking about communication devices.
no subject
No, I'll leave that for someone else who has the time and patience for something so trivial.
[It was too much fun to mess with the other man. He put a hand on the other man's shoulder, moving in like this was a secret.]
I see observation skills aren't something you're an expert in. It's alright, can't be perfect at everything.
no subject
There's nothing lacking in my observational skills. I'm just rather judicious with where I direct my attention.
[You're not getting away that easily, oh no, you so are not.]
And, excuse you, I was born perfect.
[Over the top and arrogant but in such exaggerated way it can't be anything other than a mockery of itself. Self-deprecating auto criticism is something Fëanor never does. Almost never.
He can't possibly know this but Tony just has been granted a view to a side of former King of Noldor he had rarely shown to anyone but the immediate family. And even to them a long, long time ago.]
no subject
Of course, whatever was I thinking...
[He rolls his eyes.]
Anyway, work with me later to see if we can't figure out how to make these watches into communicator devices.
no subject
I will. We need a way to communicate long distance.
[It can't be one fast, flying girl trying her best to keep everyone informed. It must be a device. So it might as well be the one each of them already has.]
