Bassoon Day 6 -- afternoon, video

[ Curufn has been awake for hours and is dressed in his road-crew orange clothing, but he came back for a shower, and he's still in Sleeper Carriage 2:A, speaking from the ICP in the cabin. His hair is not yet combed, and it is still wet and straggles about his forehead. He looks worried. ]

I hesitate to tell you this, but I think it's my responsibility. I had a dream last night, and I don't believe it was just a dream. Let me say that in my home universe, I had visions of evil things occurring, and they always came true. So, I'm sounding a warning, so that we may prepare in any way that we can.

I saw a city in flames. There were people in those burning buildings, and I heard screams. Other people were running, some escaping and some not. The air was choked with smoke.

There were winged creatures flying about this burning city, and I think they must have been demons, as I've seen that sort of creature before. I seemed to be standing quite near a building, as a wounded man came running around it toward me and would have escaped -- except that a small, white-haired, red-eyed being came swiftly behind him and stuck a spear into him. And then it turned on me, and I was about to get into a fight, but I suddenly awakened.

I don't know if many of you come from cultures that credit such visions, but I'm concerned.

[ OOC: This dream was PM'd to me -- to Curufin, I mean -- by the voidtreckermods last night, so you can bet it means something! XD ]

[Curufin can return the favor later~ For now, Maglor's just going to enjoy pampering him a bit as any big brother should.]

'He's been kind and generous.' [Precious things. Curufin will get brief flashes of memory from the older brother. Tony welcoming Maglor. Tony helping him with salves. Tony checking on him, then gifting him the glove.]

'I'll take a look when we're done here. We should all stay armed until we know more.'

[ Purr, purr, purrrrrrrrrrr! ]

I can believe that, from what little I know of him. [ He does get memory flashes from Maglor's mind. They support what he already thinks of Tony, and he is very glad that Tony's kindness was given to Maglor, who very much needs it. ]

I'll go back and get my tool kit in a few minutes. Yes, I believe as you do that we should be armed if we can be. Our whole life history supports that idea.

[It's incredibly soothing to be able to do this, and Curufin will feel contentment from his older brother. He shifts the pitch of his humming to coax his brother's hair to dry just a little faster as he brushes.]

'We should make sure Atto and Nelyo are also armed. I would prefer the entire train to be armed, but there are only so many tools that can be used effectively.'

[ Curufin does feel his brother's contentment, and he is pleased to be the cause of that. His hair is normally electric, but now it crackles just a little bit more and the moisture diffuses off into the air as Maglor brushes. ]

Yes, it would be good if we could share the hammers and the sharper tools. Best we can do for now. I'd love it if we stopped somewhere that had metals or metal ores I could work with. I'd rather have swords forged by us. But we'll see.
