Just doing a check - how many of you can make some kind of portable healing item? Like... a potion or stimulant, or, dunno, a cake, or something that'll heal injuries quickly. Missions are getting pretty dangerous, and with it liking to split the teams up so much, I figure it'd be good to start thinking about back-up plans in case a team's healer is taken out of commission or ends up 'visiting the control coach' during mission week.

[ Like her, for example. ]

Just... gimme an idea of what you can make, and what you'd need for it, I guess. Reply to standard coach, or come and talk to me.

[ She reaches towards the screen, then pauses. ] Oh, right. I've finished writing up my notes of the missions so far, so if you want to come and give 'em a look, get an idea of what you'll be doing in the future, that's fine too.

[ Bwip. ]

[ About ten minutes later, she's back: ] Just repeating something Tidus said - it'd be good to know the same for defensive supplies. Stun grenades, nets, deployable barriers. Magic or whatever else that does the same thing.

Magic? I don't quite understand all of the genetic mumbo jumbo of it all. You would have to ask Ignis about that. He knows more about my own family than I do.

[He sighs.]

Basically, I'm royalty back home, and as royalty, I have powers.

[ she coughs a laugh at the phrase 'genetic mumbo jumbo', remembering her own complaints about l'Cie powers. ]

Should've known it'd be magic. Sounds handy, though. What're your limits? Can you make anything else?

[ she notes down 'ask ignis about royal friend' at the same time. ]

I get tired if I do too much, but I can make several at a time. If I had magic flasks and elements to draw from the environment, I could craft spells for others to use, but I haven't seen any fire, ice, or lightning deposits yet. Again, I suck at explaining, sorry...

Don't worry about it. Explaining magic's always gonna be a headache, and yours sounds like there's a lot to it. [ She thinks for a moment... ]

Right. No deposits... Can you make spells from someone else's elemental magic? [ She holds up a hand, and kindles a Fire between her fingers as an example. ]

[Noct stares, brow furrowing as he thinks about it.]

Well, I mean...I've never tried? You would probably be pretty worn out after a bit, but then it would last as long as we needed it too, and people who doesn't have a magic offense could use it.

Might be worth a try, if nothing else. ... I'd feel better if everyone was better equipped generally, you know?

Let's get you some energy drinks, first. Four potions for twelve points isn't a bad deal.

[ Even if it'd be even better if they got equipment for free, given the circumstances. ]

Yeah, I get that. I'm willing to test it if you are. But one thing at a time. I can make as many potions as we can afford.

The important thing is anyone can buy'em, so we can spread the cost. [ She sighs, relieved. ] This could save a lot of trouble. Thanks.

We can see how many people are willing to help us with buying them. I think it's a good cause.

[He looks embarrassed.]

Don't worry about it. Just wanna help any way I can.

[ She hums an agreement. ] You're Noctis, right? Got this far without asking...

[Now he's actually red in the face.]

I'm guessing Ignis has mentioned me? Geez...

You're on the roster, but... [ She raises an eyebrow, mercilessly, ] He might've. Once or twice.

[He groans. It was embarrassing to have people know about you without knowing who they were!]

I'm not surprised. I didn't catch your name, though.

[ She still looks mildly amused, but relents. ] It's Light.

I've never tried with soda... I know energy drinks work, but I would be willing to try with a soda... It would probably taste better to most people. I'll change any amount of energy drinks you want, though. I'm confident it'll work.

[He ends communication and slips on his shoes before heading to the kitchen. He has been looking for a way to be useful, and learning to cook has been going rather slow, so this is definitely more up his alley. He finds a snack as he waits, leaning against a counter. Meeting new people was never really his strong point, but he's trying!]
