[Eva's cheerful face appears on the screen and when she leans back, she's got one of the welcome leaflets in hand, and a smartphone-like thing hovering next to her shoulder.]

I should have asked this yesterday or a few days ago, maybe. Anyway, For those who don't know, I'm Eva Iden'no, and because it's Platform Day tomorrow, I was just wondering if anyone had anything they felt I should be adding to the Welcome Leaflets, both to the ones we hand out and ones stuck next to the ICPs.

[Eva pauses, then:] I'm also looking trying to organise it better and maybe print them off so there not handwritten any more, so if you have ideas, let me know. Fair warning though, I can only do so much via my phone, so I don't think I can get it looking that fancy.

You may have noticed, but there are now wayfaring signs in all the cars to help people, such as newcomers or those who get turned around easily, to find their way.

If you want to mention that, please do.

Do we have a list of people, who may or may not be on the Council or Team Leads for newcomers to come to with Questions? Like, about slang, or technology? I know I was a little at loss the first time someone called me "Dude". [he sounds amused by this].

I'll see what I can do, but they're pretty visible, so I don't know.

We don't that I know of, and while I'd add the bits about slang to the leaflets, we can't cover everything and we shouldn't try. If we do, it'll set a precedent and the next thing we know, the leaflet will be more a book than anything.

I am willing to teach classes on the use of technology found on the train. Bathroom,shower, laundry (once I learn), stove and oven, etc.

I suppose slang is more something for the more experienced Trekkers to be aware of when talking to newcomers.

Yeah. I'd have to agree with that. As much as I would love to cover it, I also know if I did, the leaflet would balloon into several books.

Perhaps if in the next revision it just mentions acclimation assistance is available for those who find themselves in a technological state they are unaccustomed to? I would be happy to be a contact point.

It is somewhat similar to some of my duties back in Imladris.
