You may have noticed the stacks of IV bags filled with blood in the refrigerator. Those are mine. I suffer from a rather peculiar form of anemia, and I require regular transfusions in order to remain healthy. I need that blood to live. If you tamper with them, I will make you wish for death.

[It's all said in a matter-of-fact way that is rather different from the aloof, sarcastic, and slightly menacing persona he's adopted for the rest of the train. Romeo knows him. Romeo knows why he needs to do this.]
It's not like before. If I get hungry enough, I could kill people. I don't want to do that.
[He's so very tired. Romeo doesn't know all of it, doesn't know why he has to do this. He's wanted to tell him for days but hasn't found the words. Now it all comes tumbling out of his mouth before he can stop it, and there are hot tears stinging his eyes. He pulls up his shirt, shows Romeo the faded, blurred name on his pale stomach.]
I'm not a shinki anymore, Romeo. I'm back to who I was before. I need blood to live. And I've remembered it all. Everything about who I used to be. All seven hundred years of memories and I feel like I'm going mad. I didn't want this. I wanted to stay in Heaven, with Mum and Toyo and Ginia and you and everyone else.
I don't want to hurt people, but I finally know what I'm capable of again. If I have to threaten them to keep them safe, so be it.

But then Joss is crying and pulling up his shirt and his shinki name is all wrong. It's all blurred and faded, like it was just made of ink and someone had tried to scrub it off.
And he remembered? He had all his memories back and wasn't an ayakashi? How did that work? He tried to even imagine having seven hundred years of memories, but it's too much. He doesn't even have seven months of memories.
He moves quickly, flinging his arms around Joss is a tight hug. Because this is bad, bad and scary and he doesn't know what to do. He wants to go back to heaven too to be with Elfnein again, to see all his friends. He is sure everyone on this train is nice but it's not home.
He shook his head.] You don't got to threaten anyone. We can make sure they won't touch it but you don't got to threaten them. And if... [He pulls back slightly, but only to clasp Joss' hand instead.] If you need blood and you don't got enough then you can share mine okay, you don't got to kill anyone! Not never!

I’m not going to take your blood, Romeo.
[He sounds tired.]
You don’t understand what you’re asking me to do. I could get greedy and kill you without meaning to. Drink you dry—I’ve done it before. You’re my best friend. I don’t want that.

It would be okay Joss. But you don't got to because you got some blood already. But if you ever do then it's better you drink mine than anyone else's. Because I'm your best friend, I won't let you kill anyone!
[It was important. Joss was a good person. He knew it in his heart.]

I would rather die than hurt you.
[He pauses.]
So far, they seem to be replenishing the blood supply. I'm not certain how.

How it knew Joss needed blood was a different matter, but he didn't know much about fridge magic.

“Romeo, that’s not—“
But is it? The blood seems to have just appeared in the fridge about the same time that he did. The train somehow supplies the food, the clothes, the supplies...
“Hell, maybe it is.”

"Maybe we can make some lables for them so everyone knows that they are yours and they shouldn't touch them."
Not that anyone else would want to drink them, the idea of drinking blood makes his stomach feel funny but best to be safe!
