Have you ever thought about getting married? {The topic has been on his mind since a certain wedding.} I know you should be in love when you do it, but is it strange to think about it even if you're not?

I'm a Cultivator, so I realize that it isn't likely that I will ever be married - unless I settle down. But it does seem nice and everyone has someone, don't you think?

I think some people get married younger than I am now, but those are probably arranged.

I wish that sort of thing was outlawed. I feel bad for anyone who has to live in a loveless marriage.

And imposing on children's free will. I have a strong distaste for that.

Children don't have much free will anyway. If you force them into marriage, it's like a prison.

Betrothed at my age, with no hope for my opinion to ever matter? A prison is a good comparison.

How old are you? Was it your parents' doing? {He has some words for them if so.}

Eleven years old. In my case that was hypothetical - my prison is a different, more violent cage.

My mother, my father and my aunt.

I am. Their names are Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji and Wen Qing.

That's lovely. I'm sure I've at least run into them all.

You probably have! My mother is...loud. Sometimes. But he is very kind. My father is tall and composed - usually. They were married recently.

My aunt is about my height and she is really pretty. If you're ever hurt, you should find her. She's a doctor.

I'll keep that in mind. Especially your aunt, although I tend to stay out of harm's way as much as I can.

That is the best plan! I try to do that too, but you can have little accidents nonetheless. She will fix you right up!
