[Duo gives a slightly lopsided, almost nervous looking smile. He lifts one hand in a brief wave and then sighs.]

Look, this is gonna sound dumb. But does anyone have a hair tie? Even a ribbon?

[He holds up the remains of his hair tie, clearly snapped into two pieces and gives another sad sigh.]

That's a bad sign... Damn thing flew across the room!

Uh yeah, if anyone can stop by cabin A in sleeper 4 with something I can tie my hair with, you'll have a bestfriend for life!

[ And a few minutes later she will knock on the door, yellow ribbon in her hand. ]

[Gets the door open, looking a little frazzled with the end of his braid clutched tight in his left hand. Seeing Mami with the ribbon (at least it wasn't pink), he grins widely]

Opening the door to his cabin he blinks up at the guy standing there offering him assistance with his hair. His lips twitch into a grin. "If you've got a hair tie that's stronger than the elastic bands I came here with, you can be a huge help!"

[Gives a surprised gasp and looks down at the end of his hair in surprise. Then he looked at Mami with mock suspicion.]

Did I know you could do that?

[There was laughter in his voice and soon it bubbled out. Magic was still such a weird thing for him to see.]

Neat trick. I've never had a ribbon in my hair before. Don't think it's too girly?

[Asks the guy with the huge eyes and yard long braid.]

If you've any spare, sure! But I've a ribbon and a hair tie and... I'll probably need to get more. I've a habit of snapping these things.

Braiding I can do! ... Fancy braids not so much. But your basic, no nonsense braid is something I've been doing for years now!
