Uh, hi...

[Duo gives a slightly lopsided, almost nervous looking smile. He lifts one hand in a brief wave and then sighs.]

Look, this is gonna sound dumb. But does anyone have a hair tie? Even a ribbon?

[He holds up the remains of his hair tie, clearly snapped into two pieces and gives another sad sigh.]

That's a bad sign... Damn thing flew across the room!

Uh yeah, if anyone can stop by cabin A in sleeper 4 with something I can tie my hair with, you'll have a bestfriend for life!

Glorfindel shows up about three minutes later with a couple of different options. "Hello, are you still in need of assistance with your hair?"

Opening the door to his cabin he blinks up at the guy standing there offering him assistance with his hair. His lips twitch into a grin. "If you've got a hair tie that's stronger than the elastic bands I came here with, you can be a huge help!"

"I do not know what an elastic band is, but these are what I use," Glorfindel said. One was a ribbon, the second a leather strap, and the third a clip. "It depends on your need."

His own hair was loose and flowing down his back in luxurious beauty. [Look, he's an elf.]

"A band of stretchy rubber that you can use to tie things up with! Like the end of a braid." Duo grinned.

When he was offered his choice of hair tie, he thought about it and then pointed to the leather strap. "... Would you mind if I tried that?" It was something he hadn't used before. Maybe it would be more effective?

Glorfindel considered the use of rubber to bind his hair. "Wouldn't that damage your hair, though?"

He handed over the leather strap. "Of course. It is long enough to use as simply a tie at the end of a braid or you can weave it in to give it a better weight so it does not whip around and strike you when you are moving a lot, if you prefer." He looks at Duo. "Do you want me to show you how?"

"Sort of. But it was all I was given." Duo admitted with a shrug.

He took the strap, looking it over and was wondering about the length when the pretty guy with the pointy ears spoke again. Duo looked up and had to wonder about people wanting to touch his hair. He gave a slightly uncomfortable shift of his feet and a sheepish smile. "I think I can work it out, but thanks a lot. This helps a lot, man! Seriously!"

"Not at all." Glorfindel waved off the thanks. "I have more if something happens to that one." He waves, turns, and disappears back to his own cabin.
