Hullo Everyone! I'm the Doctor and It's come to my attention I was nominated for the train's council and I am very flattered but I have to be honest-politics is not my favorite thing-I could go into why but I'm hoping all those reasons don't apply here. So what why not?

So this is me-throwing my hat-probably a fez-fezzes are cool-into the ring for Council Member.

As for why you should vote for me well.. I have about 1600 years worth of experience traveling through Time and Space. I have seen quite a lot and have experience in helping all sorts of species, I can speak any language-well, for the most part-and I'm familiar with most cultures. I won't say all because even I'm still learning but that's also an important bit, I think. Being able to admit you don't know everything.

Some people who've met me will probably tell you I do actually know everything but those that know me better know the truth.

Still interested in getting to know you all-still happy to take over as a primary school teacher here and to volunteer my time to the medic car if needed-I'm also quite a good listener should anyone want to just vent. My door is always open.

May I ask, since the way you said it, is Doctor more of a name or a title, and if so, what does it mean? [also, what is a fez?]

1600 is pretty impressive for a human, but flush of youth for an elf. Could I get some context for your Race?

I agree that admitting you don't know everything is an important step in life. Even Wizards don't try to claim they know everything. Except for Saruman, and that didn't end well for him.

Yes-it's my name. I'm a Timelord-I'm the last of my kind, actually but I like to think I do them proud. Basically-it's our job to keep history going in the right direction. Not as easy as it might sound-especially now. I'm not usually one for politics, as a I stated. Even back on my home planet but if I can lend a hand. [ He shrugs. ] I will.

I am sorry your Race has left you behind. It is commendable that you are keeping up their work. How does one keep history going in the right direction?

Well, that's just the life of a Timelord. [ He shrugs like it doesn't greatly affect him that he's the last one. ]

Well, you just make sure that things in time that are always supposed to happen-do happen. I'm particularly sensitive to those events so it's easy for me to pick them out. Although it has happened on a occasion that things don't pan out exactly how they're written in the history books-but who's keeping score, eh?

[Glorfindel laughs] I am rather sensitive myself, but my hints are usually in the form of a prophecy or vision. Alas, I live my life quite linearly.

Someone needs to keep score though. Otherwise...if people do not remember the Truth, then Lies become the Truth and events tend to repeat themselves.

That I can't do-but I do have the ability to remember timelines that technically didn't happen-or happened in a parallel universe-it's all very complicated.


Well yes, you might have a point there but I can't be around to correct them all the time. I'm only 1800. Besides, you know humans, they only believe what they want-and very rarely is that actually the truth.

[Glorfindel chuckles.] I do know humans. But you still have Time, it seems. When I was your age, we were in the midst of the first war with Sauron, forging the First Alliance. Which ended when a human chose to keep the Ring rather than destroy it. [He sighs.]
