Am I really doing this? [ He asks himself just briefly before sitting up a little straighter in frame.

Hullo Everyone! I'm the Doctor and It's come to my attention I was nominated for the train's council and I am very flattered but I have to be honest-politics is not my favorite thing-I could go into why but I'm hoping all those reasons don't apply here. So what why not?

So this is me-throwing my hat-probably a fez-fezzes are cool-into the ring for Council Member.

As for why you should vote for me well.. I have about 1600 years worth of experience traveling through Time and Space. I have seen quite a lot and have experience in helping all sorts of species, I can speak any language-well, for the most part-and I'm familiar with most cultures. I won't say all because even I'm still learning but that's also an important bit, I think. Being able to admit you don't know everything.

Some people who've met me will probably tell you I do actually know everything but those that know me better know the truth.

Still interested in getting to know you all-still happy to take over as a primary school teacher here and to volunteer my time to the medic car if needed-I'm also quite a good listener should anyone want to just vent. My door is always open.

Which you should consider a compliment by the way, I don't usually bother with elections. [ But he's making a special exception. Just this once. ]

I do consider it a compliment. [ Yet another grin. ] How come you're voting this time? Because you'll have to put up with whoever sits in those Council seats alongside you?

Well, to put it bluntly: Yes.

Other than that though, I like to think I'm a pretty good judge of character.

Well, it's very important, who sits in those seats. You don't want to have screaming and yelling arguments over policy with just anyone, after all.

Oh, and you judge my character is sterling? [ Yet another grin. ]

There are only a handful of people I judge as 'Sterling' as you put it. No, I judge you as someone that can be more readily reasoned with.

[ He wipes his brow in relief, theatrically. ] Whew! That would be scary, if anybody as perceptive as you was fooled into thinking I'm a man of excellent character. But it's true I believe in rational, non-violent discussion. I've learned by experience that most problems can be solved if everybody is willing to listen with an open mind and think up ways to take action that will benefit everyone.
