So question that I am curious about, to say the least.

[He wasn't sure if he was going to get a decent amount of answers, but at least one of his questions was more for the fact that sometimes training alone was rather boring at times. There was only so much you could do.]

I will admit that suddenly finding myself in a new place is not exactly new to me, so it got me wondering if perhaps maybe I'm not the only one whose been elsewhere apart from home before. Am I the only one, or are there others?

[That was at least one of them done and out the way.]

The other question is about people who train in the gym? One what kind of training do people usually do there and also would it be okay if I were to join at some point? I really do not want to get rusty at all.

Of course it does. It's a game. It doesn't have to make sense, just be fun. I mean. We could just say "first one to touch the ground loses", but it's much more fun to say "YOU CANT TOUCH THE GROUND OR YOU'LL DIE"

Depends on the game, in honesty. But the fun of games is that they don't HAVE to. They gotta have rules, obviously. But... they're fun. That's all. HAve you... never... played before???

No. From a young age I've always had to work... Usually, so we'd actually... have money.

That sort of transferred with me to the other places I found myself in, but I know that someone I knew would want me to relax a bit more. Just sort of hard to do when you are in a certain mindset.

[Once he finds out he doesn't have debts, or actually any form of money that he needs to get he might do a bit better.]

[ Dear Kami what is it with all these other worlds with kids not getting a chance to actually be a kid?!?

He sighs ]

Man... that sucks. But we're going to change that - you don't have anywhere else to be right now, and you don't have to earn cash - the points here just show up in our accounts but food is free. So! We're gonna play games. Is there anything you used to do for fun?

Wait? I don't have to earn money?

[It...was a new concept for him and a very strange one. Though in the first world Kanda did try and get the man to not do the work thing but still did it anyway. It was just something he was used to.]

For fun. Nothing really. Most things I did were for ways to earn money, or because I owed someone.

[ He shakes his head ]

There's definitely things you can do to earn points, but like. The very bare minimun will do that - just do your share of the chores, and show up on the missions. You don't even have to do much. And points are for bonuses, not for necessities - clothes and food? All taken care of. Points are for things like... do you want a favourite book. Things like that.

[ He grimaces ]

That's... bad, man. Is there anything you like doing?

[This was a whole different concept than what he was used to. But it meant no debt could ever happen at least, which he was more than a little happy about.]

That's good, though what if someone wanted a certain food that might not necessarily be here. [he paused to think about it.]

I mean there were certain things I enjoyed. Like clown tricks. I enjoyed doing that stuff. Sure it was so I could get money from time to time but it was always fun.

You could use points, if you wanted something specific. [ he nods ]

Like. If you had a favourite brand of tea, or you really really really wanted chocolate cake or something.

[ He looks interested ]

You were a clown? Or training, anyway. You can juggle then? Do you play cards?

I techically was a clown in training because I was quite young when I learned.

[He did do performances but he never considered himself as such compared to Mana.]

But I can juggle, yes and while in the last place I learned how to ride a unicycle. As for cards. I can play yes, but I get into a weird way when I do, so if there is nothing to gamble for, I think that is best to avoid seeing that side of myself.

Ooooh I wonder if you know any tricks I don't! I mainly shuffle cards, although I do know a bit of juggling.

[ He blinks at him ]

Weird how?

I'd rather not go into detail about it.

Whoa. That sounds really serious man. You... seriously can't play for fun? We could use an extra player - the Detective and I know all each other's tricks by now. We've taken to cheating to make it more interesting.

No. I really can't.

Though you just play a game of everyone cheats?

Oh dear.

[ He nods ]

More or less! We play using standard poker rules, but with the understanding that everyone IS cheating. Makes for a bit more of a challenge.

Though how is a winner determined. I mean odds are it's always possible;le you all end up with aces because you all cheated to get them and just happened to have some as an example?

Most of the time, we don't bother.

[ He grins wryly ]

A game like that, if both of you are equally good? It can keep going for a while. So we usually play til someone is caught cheating. Since there's no real stakes, there's no real pressure.

I really do not get it at all.

[Which probably means he wouldn't bother really. Not really fun without a bet on the line for him.]

It's the challenge.

[ He gestures ]

If you know I'm gonna be trying to cheat, it's not about can you beat me but can you catch me. And if I can catch you in turn.

I still don't get it. But I don't think I ever will.

[But he did understand the point of cheating is to wins nd not get caught, but wouldn't cheaters also know the tricks... Okay, now he thought about it... It was making sense.]

Or I just understood it... The point of the game is to figure out the method they used?

We've both learnt off each other. And Hattori too, when he was here. But you do start to get used to each other's quirks after a while.

Everyone has a tell, I guess.

[Allen had not a single clue what his own one was, but he was sure he had one but no one managed to figure it out yet. Or when he goes to his darker personality is always a sure fire way... Maybe that was it.]

The detectives are trained observers, and I'm a magician so... [ A grin and a shrug ]

It's good practice, to try and get something past them. Well. Him, now! Hattori's gone home.

I guess, but if we can't really play past that while we are here, I assume you mean practice for when we aren't?

[Because that he could fully understand. Practicing getting better at hiding tells in order to use that for the future.]

I guess so! Not... that we're likely to play againsnt each other at home. But you never know when it might come in handy! Also... we're just that bored.
