{Sizhui is acting strange. He is sitting as properly as ever - his posture is always good - but it seems...stiff. There are also an odd combination of objects around him.

And, more suspiciously, there is a bottle of alcohol sitting at his side.

It seems to be half-empty.

He observes his communicator and then rearranges the odds and ends as if that makes some sort of weird...sense. Of course it doesn't. Why would some string go into a vase anyway?}

Mm. {Suddenly he rises and begins to...run. From one end of the compartment to the other.

Someone help this poor drunk boy!}

Good at first and the next morning, it's going to taste of regret. But Wei Wuxian can deal with that.

{He looks perplexed as if he is considering her words carefully. The truth is, he is barely hanging onto the conversation.}

[ He seems to be a happy enough drunk for now, and as long as he isn't unwell she is content to let him enjoy his buzz. If he shows signs of doing badly there will be fussing, though. ]

I'm Emperor of the Rabbits! {He places two strips of fabric on his head like ears.}

[Tony laughs and does a few cat calls.]

{He puzzles over what sounds rabbits make. It's all rather squeaky and cute.}

[Oh my god, that face! That face and then that- whatever Sizhui was doing! It was too much. Tony was dying laughing.

God, he loved this kid!]

[Mama to the rescue! Wuxian shows up with some water and a bite to eat, and simply takes a seat out of the immediate path of being trampled on.]

Mm. A-Yuan. Come sit with me. You're going to make me dizzy watching you.

{He comes to an immediate stop and then plops down at his mother's side, tucking himself close. Drunk or not drunk, Sizhui loves Wei Wuxian and is very likely to follow his orders.}

Did you try some? {He points at the half-empty bottle.} We could make spiced wine.

[Sizhui is a good boy. Wuxian wraps an arm around his shoulders for a brief embrace with a wry little shake of his head. He pulls back just enough to hold the bowl of food up, then holds out a spoonful of spicy food to his son.]

Aaah [he encourages with a cheeky little grin. Yep, just as if his son is still four years old. No shame!]

Eat your food first, and drink some water so I don't end up Lady Wen's pincushion again.

[But his son has a good idea!]

We could and we should.

{He opens his mouth like an innocent baby bird, no hesitation, and...

Takes a bite. The spice sears through his senses and his eyes water before he begins to cough. The water is grabbed desperately and he downs a big gulp, blinking in shock.}

Why is it so spicy?

{But then he looks at his mother and sighs. Oh. Right.}

How can you stand it like that?

[Wuxian pouts at the reaction (so what if he was aiming for it!) but gently rubs his son's back as he coughs and- yep! sobers up a bit. Success!

He lets his eyes go wide as if wounded, lips pouting.]

I didn't even put in all the usual spices! [Just most of them.

He drapes an arm loosely over Sizhui's shoulders.]

Because it's delicious that way.
