Well that sure was one Helluva Nap.

[ Comes the voice of the Doctor. He's met a few of you by now but not everyone and that just won't do-so here he is, formally introducing himself. ]

Hullo all! Good morning! Or Afternoon-Evening? I suppose doesn't really matter-hopefully we're all well rested-or at least rested.

Anyway, I'm the Doctor-I'm here to help. Before you ask-no, not a medical doctor, though I can be if needed. Doctor is my name. No, I'm not human-don't tell me I look human-I don't. I do actually know something about the void just not as much as I'd like given the situation.

Now that that's out of the way, please, come talk to me. You can talk to me here, or come find me-I'll be in the standard coach drinking tea. Love meeting new people-you're all so fascinating-I mean that as a compliment by the way-so try not to take offense. And yes, I do mean you. I'd love to meet you all-and I expect to considering we're all sharing the same ride. No reason not to be friends, eh?

Well, I've taken up enough of your time, so erm.. as the young people say-hit me up.

I don't know-could people see you back home or is this a bit new being seen by-erm-non-ghosts? Maybe just to travel-learn new things just to keep from getting bored?

Now there's a thought. I suppose learning and exploring the world aren't really too different... I don't know how many schools would accept a ghost for a student, though.

As for the other thing, I'm usually visible, but moreso at night. By day, it's more uneven; some days I can't be seen at all. If I want to, though, I can just disappear if I want to. Here, look:

Well, I've heard there's a sort of school on board-they'd probably accept you.

[ He grins though as she completely disappears. ]

That is some trick! Probably very useful if you have to sneak around anywhere, eh?

[ She talks as a disembodied voice, but as she goes on, she starts to fade back into view. No point in keeping it up, after all. ]

I can go through walls, too, so if I want to sneak in somewhere, there's nobody who can stop me!

...Except for whoever built the train. I tried to get into the engine room, and I bounced right off.

So the engine is ghost proof. Don't know that I've come across that yet. Hopefully that didn't hurt any.

One of the nice parts of being dead is that nothing hurts, so the only thing that was damaged was my dignity.
