I've tried several times to commune with spirits, but there doesn't seem to be any nearby.

{The idea occurred to him when he heard others talking about voids being places spirits travel through.}

I didn't know if that might be comforting to anyone. We're not among the dead.

Are you truly incorporeal? {The train is big. Maybe they are too far apart?} There is a special song we Lan use to speak to spirits. It has worked for me before and I'm sure I didn't mess up.

What's a guquin? Is it an instrument? I never heard of one before, sir!

They would usually communicate with me or I would at least be able to see them.

I never force them. I seek quality; not quantity. However when I used my guqin, I saw no one.
