Video PSA
[ This is the morning of Day 5 of the month of Domino. Curufin is in his cabin, having just awakened from an extremely vivid dream -- by falling out of his bunk and landing on the floor with a THUNK! Sorry about the racket, roomies! He climbs to his feet, and since he slept in his clothes, getting dressed is simple. He pulls on his boots, throws on his jacket, and goes to the ICP. ]
Good morning, all. Hate to bother you, but I've just had yet another prophetic dream.
I thought I was trapped inside a block of ice. Ice walls, ice floor, ice ceiling. I was freezing, and it was hard to start walking through this frozen passageway, but I did. The ice was so clear and transparent that at times it almost seemed. . . not there at all.
I spotted what I assumed was a gap or an exit up ahead, and I stepped towards it. But suddenly the world shook under my feet and the block shuddered and lurched, and I was thrown off my feet and crashed into the walls. It felt like the structure was tumbling, with me in it! The cold struck through my bones like knives every time I hit the ice.
I don't know what this means, but the dreams I had before the last two missions were true visions. I dreamed of goblins and flying wolves and a burning city, and that's what we found. The next time, I dreamed of a volcanic planet that was self-destructing, and that's exactly where we went.
So, I must believe we're going to a very wintery place this time.
I suggest to everybody, get your cold-weather gear together! [ His shoulders shake briefly with silent laughter. ] And bring a flask of vodka or whisky if you can.

Aye, I did. Although mine was not so detailed as yours. You know the foresight runs stronger in your cousins.

video;
Are.. these sort of dreams normal to you? Or did they only start after you showed up in this place? [ That's more surprising than the more-ice-and-snow-upcoming warning to him! ]
no subject
Yes, I'm afraid they are normal to me. Elvish foresight. Premonitions of unpleasant events, and such warnings or dreams always came true.
no subject
I'm sorry. That doesn't seem to be particularly pleasant. [ If Inigo would have those all the time, he probably wouldn't be able to even sleep anymore. He'd wake up crying! ]
Although I suppose at least the upside is that you're able to prepare if you know what's coming.

What kind of hat would you like to wear, Romeo?

[They would have to be very careful!]
Um... I don't know. One with a bobble on it. That would be nice.

Well that's quite a wake up.
You alright?
no subject
Yes, I'm all right. Elves have to deal with this sort of thing. [ He sees Tony is not quite on it, yet. Which is unusual for him, so far as Curufin knows him. ] And you, Tony? How are you this morning?
Switching to private to Curufin's room
That might actually be more effective than coffee. It's far more unpleasant, but..
[He shrugged. He.. actually looks a little embarrassed at the question. He is aware how this might look. He switches the feed to just Curufin's room.]
I've been told I need to slow down so I'm attempting to do that. Evie took over the yoga class I was teaching and thought I'd try sleeping in... but then you piped up and ruined that.
[He's kidding, he would've gotten up around this time anyway.]

Save the alcohol for when the job is done. All it will do before then is kill you more quickly.
[Another pause, then]
Did you see anything beneath the ice?
no subject
I didn't say I'd drink the booze during the mission, now did I? [ Grin. ]
The ice under my feet wasn't transparent enough for me to see through it. Why, is there something in particular you are worried about?
no subject
Because yeah-he's serious about blizzards and giant blocks of ice that might break and kill someone. Funny how that happens when you're left to die on a frozen tundra by people you were supposed to be able to trust, isn't it?]
You know better- or at least I hope you do after four hundred years of Beleriand weather. But there will be people here who won't know better than to take you seriously.
[At the last question, his face twists into a grimace. You really couldn't guess, Curufin?]
I wanted to know if it's land below or water.

Technically Action since Reigen's right here
[Reigen gives a very tiny laugh. He's trying to help, he swears.]
That works out though, we know what to watch out for: cold weather and thin ice.
lol, roomie!
I wish it was. Ordinary dreams often make use of what the physical body is actually doing. And I sure did roll off the bed, didn't I? Lucky I didn't smash anybody's property.
[ Curufn laughs with him. He can never resist when anyone makes a joke of something serious. ]
Yes, cold weather and thin ice! And big blocks of ice that pretend to be houses or shelters or means of access, and then they dump us into the ocean or down a hill.

(Sent to Curufin's Cabin -)
(Maedhros knows their level-headed cousin is unlikely to panic, but he doesn't like to see him reliving memories that are basically nightmare fuel.)

[ Curufin doesn't like it ether. He cringes every time he thinks of how desperate the situation in the Helcaraxë must have been. It never occurred to Curufin at the time that he might have objected to leaving the cousins behind, or that he might have stolen a few ships and enlisted a brother or two to help, and sailed to meet the Fingolfineans halfway through their journey and taken them aboard. If he could turn Time backwards, that is exactly what he would do. But it is too late. Now he must think of what he can do instead. ]
Maybe you could go with him or persuade him to go with you? We do have the option to go with somebody else's team instead of our own. Father came with me on my first mission, and there were no consequences, and we were a great team.

Of course! Do you want to meet me somewhere? In the Quiet Coach, maybe?

Spoilers for Tangled Webs, CW: bugs, violence, gore, *** mentions.
No need to warn for spoilers or anything else. XD
I never know who is stalking a game thread. :D
If they're shocked, it's their fault for stalking. XD
Lol, maybe. Still better cautious than upsetting someone, at least, that's how I feel. Anxiety & all
*hugs*
