[The video opens with very excited Quatre, quite clearly trying to keep from bouncing excitedly]

Fellow passengers of the train, good morning! I made a request for an item and I wasn't actually sure if I'd get it or what it would be if I did, but...

[And he shows off what arrived for him... which just basically looks like a large box]

It is mobile suit cockpit simulator! So it's like piloting a mobile suit without actually piloting one!

[He very briefly showed off the inside of it, which looked like a cockpit]

Once I get it to the games carriage, I'm going to take a look at the options already programmed and add as many as I remember. It'll be available for anyone to try out. Also if you have one that would be piloted like that, I can try to add yours.

Action
Quatre can either be found in the luggage carriage, trying to figure out to move this very large object... or he can be found in the games carriage once it has been moved, checking what has already been programmed into the system.

A mobile suit-- wait, those are big exos, right? Augmentative mobile exoskeletons?

[ Ple Two takes a bit to get around to showing up, but she pops in while Quatre is working on what the options are. Her concern is that will only have mobile suits from his world - the controls probably aren't horribly different, but she'd like to see if she can still manage the machines she's familiar with. ]

How is the simulator going?

I ain't ever driven one, but I'm interested in seein' what ya got. 'Could always use some new skills. [He's decently enthusiastic, in that way that he's not doing an exaggerated frown that he usually does for general reactions, both positive and negative. Good news! A thing he'd like to learn? Have an actual smile.]

...You want me to help set ya up? I had to with my flight sim when I picked that up.

[ Listen to this excited start of the feed from Tidus! A big grin, and some laughter following! ]

You got it! Hey, I'll be right over! Help you move it!

[ Heheh! ] Remember you owe me first game!

I think so. Are exos like giant suits of armor that you sit in and pilot them? That's general idea of what mobile suits are.

[Quatre had taken the small computer out of it so that he could look through all of the information without having to search it on the cockpit. Also that way he could add and modify things if he wanted to. He still remembered the basic information of how his and the other Gundams handled so he should - in theory - be able to add them in if they weren't there.

Also he could definitely play around with this and see if he could add other suits not from his world.

Everything was still connected at least so all he had to do was put it back when he was done playing around with it.

He looked up as she came in and smiled]

It is going well. Already tested it so it does what it is supposed to do. Checking some of the programming now so I can see how this thing works. Interested in taking a look?

Of course. I'd be happy to show you. They are quite common in my world. Hence why there is a simulator for someone to practice piloting.

[He's glad that Yondu is excited for it. Good, it was not just him and Tidus who wanted to try this thing out]

[He chuckled. Good they were both excited for it]

Sounds good. I could definitely use some help moving it.

[He grinned] Of course. You get the first shot at it.

[ The moment Quatre says what it is, Inigo just instantly knows that it's one of these things he just wouldn't be able to grasp. These newfangled people and their newfangled technology..

.. though it's at least kind of nice to see Quatre so happy about it. They all deserve some good stuff while being stuck in such a crappy place. ]

Is.. that a game? [ Apparently Inigo is at least making an effort to try and understand it, if it's something that's so important to Quatre.

But boy, oh boy, does he ever not get it. ]

[ A grin, and wink! ]

[ And that'll be his very clear warning that he's coming, Quatre! Tidus promised to help with the relocation, but he's excited too to see this thing in person.

An 'in person' he'll be very soon, cheating by using the transgate set inside the luggage carriage to make his appearance. It opens up wider, and Tidus steps out, shapes from the device fizzling away he looks around and spots Quatre. And the goods!

Aha, there he is! ]

So this was what you were talking about? It's the same type?

[ Nothing odd or different about it from first looks? ]

How about I come by and help ya with it?

Who knows, we might get the chance to do that one day. [But if this is the closest he'll get? He'll absolutely try.]

Kind of. Back home, it would be used to train pilots how to pilot mobile suits. Here, it can definitely be a game. You can use it to fly a mobile suit through space or at least I'm assuming that it will do that. That's fairly standard.

[Quatre was definitely still hanging around it when Tidus showed, peeking at some of the different bits of it without getting too far into it. Couldn't really do that at the moment. When it was not in its final place was not a good time for that.

But he didn't have too much time when Tidus suddenly showed up like magic, Quatre looking up at the transgate to see Tidus arrive.

He nodded] It looks like the same type as the one I'm familiar with. The cockpit configuration is that same at least. I didn't want to start going further into it until was in its final home.

That would be wonderful, thank you.

[He nodded] Well, if they ever do show up on an assignment, we will be prepared.

If it's anything like the flight sim? Shouldn't take more'n a couple of hours to set up. I'll be with ya shortly.

[And, hey, it's something to look forward to. His head's been so bogged down with badness for a few months that somethin' like a training for a giant machine seems like a good time. Even the usefulness of putting together the equipment sounds like a good time.]

[He catches up with Quatre after a bit.]

The pieces should be able to go through the transporter things. Luckily one leads directly to the games car so it's just the trouble of carryin' it to the first sleeper. Trust me, it feels good to have that little taste of home. Trainin' aside.

I wouldn't say giant, at least not where I come from, but otherwise, yes!

Right. That's where I come in!

[ Just like he said he would! Tidus walks up to the simulator, looking it over around the outside, up and down. Humming, like he's looking for something; and his hands do find places to perch, Tidus eyeing the distance between where he puts them, and where the ground is. ]

Soo... okay. Hey, can you look where my hands are from the ground? I'll make it disappear, but I need to remember the height it'll come out. The less is rocks, the less likely I'll get crushed under it!

[ A joke, but also! ]

Hey, Quatre..

[ Inigo pauses for the briefest moment, his expression a tad awkward. ]

.. you realise that I hardly understood quite some words you were saying there, right? [ P-Please, slow down for the technologically challenged people among us! ]

Oh, sorry about that. So a mobile suit is essentially a giant suit of armor. Because of how big they are, one needs to learn how to control them. This thing allows one to practice before actually trying to control a real one.

[Hopefully that is better?]

Yeah, it's basically a flight sim, just for something that is a little more humanoid in appearance. Sounds good, I will see you then.

[It was part of why he requested it. He had had a lovely talk with Tidus and the thought of actually being able to pilot again, even if it was a simulation, had made him happy. So if he could share it and make others happy, all the better]

Great! Let's do that. It'll be easy to set it up once it is in the games carriage. [He smiled] It does. I piloted so much that it will just be like old times.

Ah, then yes, I would say they are big exos. We had smaller suits, mainly used for construction where the bigger ones wouldn't do so those would probably be similar to exos.

[Quatre nodded, stepping back to watch what Tidus was doing. He was curious how this worked after all. Who wouldn't be? Especially when it was being used on something that they owned. Not that Quatre had much attachment to the simulator beyond that he was fairly certain it would be fun - at least for him, hopefully more - since points were not necessarily easy to get, but they weren't unobtainable. But still]

Of course. I can do that.

[In fact he does one better and opened the notebook he had been carrying with him since Tidus had already offered to help and used the lines to get a generalized "height"]

[ Ple Two would be picky about specs... assuming her memory of them was good enough. It's been over a year. ]

I'm curious at least. I haven't been in a mobile suit since I arrived, of course, but this is interestingt.

[He starts to pick up his portion of the load.] It's helped me out a lot. I think Hera, too. [And maybe a few other people that missed flying. Della had been a huge reason for him to do it. One of the reasons he was sad to see her go.]

Tellin' ya, even if you're able to get off the train about once a month or so it don't mean that much if you can't do what you like.

[Or at least what feels homey and comfortable. But there's a lot of reasons he has doubts in their recreational activities. He knows he's a poor fit for some of these missions when he feels way more comfortable with technology than magic.]

I...

[He pauses there, hesitating very obviously. He has to make himself continue.]

I have my exo's processor core with me. On the train. I-- Could I-- Would you--

[Another pause while he composes himself, again obviously.] It would mean a lot to me if we could try hooking the core up to your simulator directly.
